My mother has moved into Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and they have a hall that took special care of people with Alzheimer's and memory problems. They can keep them and lock the door so they can't wander off. It's a really beautiful facility, and it has really wonderful people there. They've been very kind and attentive, and my mother is happy there. The room is very sterile and clean. It has enough room for what mother needs, and her clothes are hung up neat and tidy. They take really good care of her. Anytime we call over there to ask questions, and if whoever answers does not have the answer, they put us to somebody who does. We always get our questions answered, and it's a nice homey atmosphere. They don't allow company to eat there right now because of Covid. The patients can eat, but we cannot. If we were to go and sit with them at lunchtime, we would have to wear our masks. We can visit with them while they eat their lunch if we want to, but we can't eat right now until the Covid laws are lifted. We've not been allowed to go up and down the halls. Anywhere we go has to be sterilized behind us, including my mother's room. Her bed was made. She's got the bed by the window, which mother likes. She has a lady roommate. We haven't been able to go in and do any of the activities. They don't want to contaminate the buildings with people. That was before the injections, before the Covid shot came out, and they haven't changed the rules since the Covid shots. We can still see mom, but we go in the front door, and we stay in their pretty lobby. We visit them there, and that's just about an hour away. They'll bring them outside to us, and we can take them to lunch. Everything is really clean, and that's what we can see. They just don't have the go ahead to let people come back in. They are eager to accommodate whatever you need, and they are very nice about it. They're very polite.

My parents were in Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. They had a really good rehab place there, because both of them had been there for rehab. It was nice and clean, and the people seemed to be a lot more caring. The food and meal service was good, and they had good, balanced meals all the time. The cost was a little high, but not as high as some of them around here, so it's a good average. They keep you really informed, so that's good, but the only part I didn't understand was why they didn't want my mom and dad in the facility, instead, sending them out to the VA.

I placed my mother in Parkview because that facility is near my brother's home. I want her somewhat close to a family so she can see her granddaughter and things like that. The facility is in a very good condition and I'm pleased with it. I think the staff there is providing what they can provide for my mother. She is getting the treatment that she needs. However, she is refusing all kind of eating, physical therapy, etc. According to them, her condition is not bad enough for her to need hospice care at this point in time, so they are just keeping her comfortable.
