The Garden Estates of Temple was our number two choice for my mom. What made it second choice was that if my mom would have any issues, we would have to move her, and I didn't want to do that at this stage in her life. It was clean, the people were friendly, and the staff was absolutely topnotch. Their employees were very great, they worked with us really well, and they gave us lots of options on ways we could go. I was very impressed. They have all the things my mom would need. It was very nice. There were even people there who are still living there and working, so that was very nice. It's located close to everything.

I'm currently at Garden Estates of Temple. I like just about everything that I've participated in, the staff is good, and the facility is nice. I don't see a downfall as far as anything they're not doing. The staff members are all very attentive and they try to help as much as they can. I'm used to home cooking, and the food is not exactly what I would eat all the time, but I have cooking in my room so I can do that. They have activities like ceramics, physical therapy, activities to keep your mind busy. They have a salon, they don't have a gym, but they have a library, PT room, ceramics, and painting. I get what I'm paying for. I have a two-bedroom, two-bath apartment.

The Garden Estates of Temple was very clean and organized. The staff was very friendly. The biggest thing that I didn't like was the price. It is just way too expensive. But the staff that I met were great. I saw a conference room, and then we took a tour of the apartments. They were both clean and very organized. The place was very clean. From what I remember it's near the hospital.

I went to Garden Estates of Temple. It's a type A facility, and that's where we were trying to put my mother-in-law, but she needed more care. It was a very, very nice facility. The staff was amazing. When they couldn't place my mother-in-law there, they helped me locate another one, and followed up yesterday when they heard from the new facility that I had chosen for them, so I just think that's really nice. It's a very nice facility, very community friendly. They have a lot of options. I really liked it. I wish she could have gone there, but she just needs more care.
The rooms were nice and clean. We looked at a one-bedroom, it was nice, and it had a kitchen. The dining area was really nice. They have actual menus, and they get to choose from six options. They had activities for them. They had a library, they had a beauty shop, and they had a doctor's office, so they don't have to leave to go to the doctor. It was nice. I liked it there.

My grandmother is in Garden Estates of Temple. My experience with the staff, at any point, has been easy going. It's been easy to get ahold of them and get things done. I think the biggest reason that we picked Gardens Estates is that it is near where I live. It is coupled with the fact that she pays, I think, $2,400 a month, and that is for assisted living, actually the same price that she paid in Colorado for Independent Living. So for all the extra help she's getting it is definitely worth the price.
Before she moved in, they gave us a little tour. They had to go through the side door and put on a lot of protective equipment to keep the residents safe. We were looking through rooms and they showed us where everything was going to be at for her.
My grandmother has a studio apartment. The bathroom is very, very large, and roomy. She can walk right in the shower. There is no lift or anything that she has to go out of her way to step over. The appliances looked all brand new: fridge, microwave, sink. She even has this thing, it's not really a stove, but almost like a stove with two burners, so if she wanted to cook herself something she really could. There are big windows in the far side of the room where she's got a nice view. It does not feel dingy and the place is very clean and tidy. I know the meals are very good; three meals a day and all very balanced. It is stuff that I would want to eat.
They have a big dining room that is open whenever they need to eat their food together. It's nice. They also have an exercise room, a courtyard, a game room.

We are more than happy with Garden Estates of Temple. It's warm, welcoming, and well-appointed, and the staff is unbelievable. I can't say enough good things about it. My dad enjoys the social aspect of being around other people, and they're really good at getting him involved. He's had a couple of falls, and they’ve been very good at taking care of him and watching over him, so it's been really good. My dad loves the food and hasn't complained about it. I like it because it's served restaurant-style, which feels more special instead of having a tray or plate brought to you.

Garden Estates of Temple was very nice. It is newer but very big, and we felt that she needed a type B facility rather than a type A. They all seemed very friendly. It was a good experience just touring it. The rooms were very nice. They had full kitchens, and it was very roomy. It was a really nice facility. They had a private dining room and more common areas that could be used. Everything that they did have was very nice.

My dad is in Garden Estates of Temple, and he likes it very much. What stood out is the cleanliness, and the general property is very attractive, modern-looking, clean, and nice. They have a very extensive activities program, and they have caring aides who let Dad know if breakfast, lunch, or dinner is served. It's a good care place without being oppressive. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable, and the residents are their first concern.

After leaving a review on another site, something came to my attention today that some might be interested in. While visiting my mother in Garden Estates today, I noticed a large gathering in the main meeting room...must have been 35 or 40 folks in attendance...The Chef was giving a lecture on making Amish cookies or something...How many places does the Chef himself not only prepare excellent(ACCORDING TO MY MOTHER) meals ...but take the time to meet and interact with the residents of the facility?...WELL DONE GARDEN ESTATES!!!...KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!...P.R.

The staff at Garden Estates was very nice, very cordial, and very informative. They helped answer all of our questions. They were very nice people. The room had a kitchen, but it was more closed-in, so it felt smaller than it really was, and my brother didn't like that either. Their dining room was very nice and clean, though. It was very appealing. What I like best about Garden Estates is that it was a nicer facility, more up-to-date than the other one I saw. Their entryway was nice. It had a fireplace and coaches. There were lots of people sitting around talking.

My brother who is now 71 is a resident at Garden Estates in Temple, TX. He suffered a stroke 3 years ago and was unable to return home and was in need of day to day care. He is able to to function on his own, to a degree, but needs assistance in most areas of daily life. Since joining the community at Garden estates he is very happy and gets all the assistance he requires from cleaning to meals. I would recomend Garden Estates to anyone who has a loved one in need of assisited living

Garden Estates was a very, very nice facility, very clean and the staff was very helpful. Their in-house nurse did a little evaluation, and that's how I knew that mom needed a memory facility. It was not a memory facility, although it has locked front doors. The staff was very helpful and it was a very clean place. It seemed to be very modern and nice. We were just real impressed with it. It's just it wasn't a good fit for my mother.

My Dad has been at Garden Estates for ten years. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful. They do more than is expected of them. I highly recommend Garden Estates to anyone needing assistance in everyday living.
