Inspired Living at Sugar Land was very nice and we liked it. The person who gave us the tour was very informative and very welcoming. If my aunt was going to go anywhere, she'd like it to be this one. Their rooms were nice. They were having bingo when we were there. They also have movie nights and they do different things for them like dress them up and take them out. They have swimming, a workout room, and hair facilities so they can get their hair and nails done. It was pretty much an all-inclusive type of place. They had several gazebos with trees around so it was kind of wooded. They had places where you could sit outside and just take in all the nature and whatnot. They had a swimming pool so that was nice too. They have both assisted living and memory care, which is what I was looking for.

I toured Inspired Living at Sugar Land. Everything was very clean and relatively new, and the staff all seemed very good and very attentive. There are no negatives in that regard. The activities seemed sufficient. The thing I didn't like about the way their rooms are designed is that you can't really go directly from the bedroom to the bathroom, depending on the type of room you have. You have to go around and in through another door. That's not good when someone is pretty compromised mobility-wise. I just didn't like that, and that's a lot of the reason that we chose not to use them. The other part is it's another ten minutes or so to be able to get to the facility from our home and for our daughter to be able to get there as well. They're a little more restrictive from a safety standpoint with visitations right now. You have to wear full PPE and all that kind of stuff, so that was a little bit challenging, too.

Inspired Living at Sugar Land is very accommodating. My mother's apartment is very nice. You bring your own furniture so it's more home-like. She's gone to the painting lessons, to a musical, and to see a harpist. They have daily activities, and they give them the schedule for the week. The coordinator is very nice. When they don't see the residents at an activity, they'll knock on the door and personally invite them. They have an exercise room, a walking area outdoors, there's a pool outdoors, they play pool and card games, and upstairs they have a puzzle room and a library. They try to accommodate every hobby. They have nice amenities for assisted living. I've gone to the cafeteria and the food is really good. They have more than one option per meal. You get a menu and there are waiters.

Moved my father in about 3 weeks ago and he is involved in the activities and has people to eat with. The staff is so attentive and on the ball. Medication is given when supposed to be. The staff makes him feel like family. So glad we chose Inspired!

The Call/Alert system, “SkyNet,” was very unreliable, so I registered a complaint with Texas Health and Human Services after 6 months and 29 Document conversations and emails with Inspired Living management. On 6/13/2019, HHSC made an unannounced visit to Inspired and wrote “The surveyor determined that rules or regulations were violated. HHSC therefore, has the option to issue citations and may impose other sanctions, as appropriate.” The many times my wheelchair-bound Mother was neglected during her 6 months here is unacceptable and now she is in a different facility where she is happy and well attended to by a caring and responsive staff.

Inspired Living at Missouri City is a good one. It was very nice, looked clean, was new, and we liked the lady who showed us around. The dining room was restaurant-style. I liked that they have a pool, a chapel, a piano, and areas where they can play games. It's set up so they can socialize with others.
