Holiday The Clairmont looked friendly and clean. The rooms were very spacious and clean, too. The person who assisted us on our tour was very knowledgeable. Every time we asked her questions, she gave us the answers that we were looking for. The food was excellent. It's very well prepared. For activities, they have exercise and ice cream socials, just different interactions.

Holiday The Clairmont seemed to meet the majority of my mom's needs. The staff was good. She seemed very interested in helping us and wasn't just trying to sell us something. She seemed more concerned about getting us to the right place than giving us that place. It is an independent living, but with a lot of assistance available if you need it. The surroundings seemed nice enough. It wasn't a garden home, but it was adequate. The dining area looks nice. It reminds me of a nice hotel-type dining area. They have a library and an area for group activities like card games, dominoes, and other organized activities for the residents.

Holiday The Clairmont accepted me even if I was in a motorized wheelchair. My only concern is there were four choices to eat and three of them had soy. I'm also restricted on salt, but I think the chef is willing to work with me. It's the best facility. It was a clear winner. The $2700 a month would help us a lot, and it was a full one-bedroom. I could move all my stuff there and most things worked out pretty well. I would want to move as much as I can from here to there and they were better than everyone else, on price, everything, except for lunch. You could bring your own stuff to your apartment. They recommend you do not eat in your room, but if I bring in my coffeemaker and distilled water, it's fine. I get cable hookups. The staff was very helpful and very nice, and their chef is very accommodating.

I toured Holiday The Clairmont. It's an independent living, and they provide all the meals and housekeeping. They also have activities and things of that nature. It was really nice. The staff who assisted me was very friendly and knowledgeable. The woman knew about the prices and everything. I looked at a studio apartment, and it was decent. I also looked at a 1-bedroom and another on the ground floor (which was ideal for me because there I could step out on a patio they have). They're decent-sized apartments, and theyre nice. The only thing is they only had a small refrigerator and no stove (although they told me I could bring a hot plate and a microwave). The dining room was nice. I know that they have 2 chefs on board. They put on and change your sheets once a week. They also have laundry for the seniors. Overall, I didn't see anything negative about it.

Holiday The Clairmont wasn't as fancy as the others, but what stood out to me was that the residents seemed very happy. The staff member we met was helpful. She explained what was being provided and answered all of our questions. The dining area was big and clean. The residents could play bingo cards and dominoes, but they have different special things each week, like maybe a Western night or a movie night, and they do decorations for all those. The only thing was there weren't any walk-in showers in the room.

I toured The Clairmont. The people were very nice. It was a nice place for independent living. However, I wanted something that if I get sick or something and have to have more care, then I would have it and I wouldn't have to move. But they were very nice people. The grounds were well-kept. The building was nice. They have a very nice dining area. It's like restaurant-style, and it's very nice. They had a lot of activities. The staff showed us the activity room. They had crafts and puzzles, and they had transportation if you needed it. They had all kinds of things. They were busy. She gave us a calendar for the month and there were several things every day if they wanted to do it. Their apartments were nice. They're older. It's an older place and they are going to remodel, so that'll make it better. But they were nice, well-kept, and clean. Their staff was excellent. The overall condition of the place needs to be remodeled, and they're going to do that.

We toured The Clairmont. We got to meet the chef and we had a wonderful meal. He was very hospitable. We had several people who live there come up to us and welcome us to come to live there. I don't think they planned that; I think they just did it. But the meal was wonderful, it was definitely prepared by a chef, and it was great quality. We went and saw two-bedroom rooms, and they both have wonderful space. It was just what we were looking for as far as space, and both of them were just painted. One of them had a shower, and one of them had a step-in bathtub, and either one of those would've been something we were looking for. That was another plus besides all the rest of them. The lady that talked to us was very informative. She wasn't trying to keep any secrets of what was bad, and she certainly wasn't trying to keep any secret of what was good either. She was very informative. I'm glad we scheduled that tour. The place was very clean. The room we looked at had just been painted. Some people moved out, and for that reason they were clean also. The rooms that we looked at that were available were on the first floor, and that's something we have been wanting to get, so that was a very big positive as well. They have a beauty/barber salon, a pool room, a washing machine, and dryer. In fact, one of the two-bedrooms we looked at had its own washing machine and dryer, so that was a plus, and that would be something we would not want to miss with us going somewhere else to go and use the washer and dryer when we could do it right there in our own house. So that was a very nice one. They had outside access because they were on the first floor, and that was a real plus. The carpet was nice and new, the painting had been re-done. You could tell it had just been painted again after the last people moved out, and that was a big plus. If you wanted to, you could do gardening, and they even have a place for raised gardening and a place where you could do flower bed gardening, so that was a real plus for my wife.

I have chosen The Clairmont because it feels more like your own home than a facility. They were very helpful with other needs that you might have before you move in. They have an executive chef, and everything is homemade. It's wonderful. The person who helped me with filling out the paperwork for moving in brought me back and forth from my apartment. She helped me with that and made sure I understood everything. She said that she likes to treat people the way she would treat her own parents, and I think that's so cool. Everything is super clean. There's a courtyard with benches that you can go sit in. People bring in their pets. It's very homey. They have plenty of activities to do. They're on lockdown right now because of COVID restrictions, so they were taking the safety of their residents very seriously. It's all decorated for Christmas, and it's very nice.

We visited The Clairmont, but it's not an assisted living facility. It's just an apartment complex for seniors. It's nice. It just needed some updating. Their dining area was a little crowded, and it was upstairs. The residents that we came across seemed nice. We didn't see very many out, but it was good. It appeared clean.

I visited The Clairmont. The staff was friendly. Everybody seemed happy and well taken care of. The facility looked nice and inviting. It was clean and well kept. It's not far from the hospital, it's not far from shopping or the grocery store, and there's a coffee shop right there in front. I think that it's very accessible.

I was able to visit The Clairmont in person. It was clean and they have about every size room to accommodate your budget. They don't just have one thing, they have different sizes. It's a rather old property though, it hasn't been updated. Everything works though and it's clean. It has a maintenance man if you're having any problems. I thought the staff was friendly. I also like that if somebody is in a wheelchair, the facility is accessible for them to get around.

Our experience with The Clairmont was good. The staff was very good, but their rooms were older. It was an older facility. It was also darker. It didn't have nice living areas. Everyone I encountered seemed to be very nice. If my mother didn't need to move to assisted living in the next couple of years we would entertain The Clairmont. They had a balcony which was nice, and you could stand on it and see the street outside. The rooms were different sizes.

My father is at The Clairmont. The rooms are nice, but not super fancy. The food is good and served in a good way. The staff seems great, too. They bring in people who sing, they had a magician, and they have walks and outings. They've got a calendar with all the different activities. The building is a little older.

I didn't see anything wrong with The Clairmont, but I'm looking at the atmosphere and the people and feeling a certain energy. It was fine as far as cleanliness. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't inviting.

We leased mom a room at The Clairmont, but she never moved in to it because financially she couldn't afford it. It's nice and the room had a little kitchenette on the right hand side, a bathroom on the left hand side, an open efficiency closet on the left, and a little balcony. It's clean and they just put in brand new carpeting. The tour guide did a very good job showing me around. The dining area was nice, large, open, and spacious. They had some people playing guitars and singing when I came in.

My wife and I visited this facility a couple years ago for my Mom. It was very dated. A few months ago we looked again. Wow what a change. They have updated their apartments, grounds are well kept, Staff was down home friendly. Mom was happier with the visit this time and we moved her in. They advertise as independent living and boy do the mean it. Mom has made new friends and could not be happier. I've seen more life in her in 3 months than I've seen in a couple years. Food is great. Lots of activities for seniors. They have bands and choirs regularly. This is what retirement for our parents is all about. It's just my opinion, but, I do not see where anybody could go wrong in moving their family into the Clairmont.

I wasn't impressed with Clairmont. It was rundown, it had a smell about it, and the facility wasn't kept well. They had a list of activities.

The Clairmont was an older facility and a little dated but nice. It didn’t seem to fit and was a little further from me. The staff was very friendly and gave us good information. We met the chef who was a really nice guy. The food was really good, and the people were friendly. It seemed well run.

We liked the location of The Clairmont. They had everything. They had bingo and other things. The staff was very friendly. They showed us everything that we asked for. They showed us the one-bedroom efficiency and the larger room like the one-bedroom and the two-bedroom. I thought they were very nice. They served three meals, and they had snacks all the time. They had service if you needed them to take you somewhere.

The Clairmont was cheaper than anything else in town; that was a big point. The staff was very good and nice. My parents haven’t had any complaints. They have three meals a day there.

The reason for a 3 star review is due mainly to the CIGARETTE smell. My 2 family members live there. There apartment breaks of smoke smell. The whole place smells of it. You smell it when you walk in the front door. And there's a gold sign right on front door at top that says "No Smoking"!! Not true. They are allowed to smoke in there rooms by paying a 250$ fee extra. How is that healthy or safe?? These are elderly individuals. Second hand smoke is worse that smoking itself! An my family members both have lung issues and on is on oxygen. A lot of the residents are on oxygen. That is dangerous! Buying a special spray isn't going to get rid of the smoke. It's in the walls and ducks! Saying " This spray costs 50$ for the smoke smell " to everyone like it's the non-smokers fault one or two residents can't be forced to smoke outside or removed. Ridiculous! An the meals are very high in sodium an if your diabetic you better bring your own food sometimes cause your sugar is going to go sky high along with your sodium an blood pressure! Pasta of some kind in almost every meal. Why can't they work with a dietician an offer some low sodium or low carb meals for the price these people are paying. The whole place needs updating big time. It's like 1982. They can't keep their staff either. No apartments are being cleaned right now. Well my family members hasn't been cleaned in I think 2 wks. I've been doing it. One elevator! Everyone duking it out to get on it for meal times.! The smoke smell is pretty bad. But' when my family members signed contract they were given the assumption the smoker would be moving soon. Nope. Still there after 2 months! May be moving somewhere were no smoking period like all the other facilities in Amarillo!!The other residents seem nice an just want to talk an have some company.

The Clairmont had a very warm atmosphere. The people were very friendly, and there were many residents around who seemed very happy. The managers knew everybody's names and call them by name. It had a family atmosphere. They had three meals and ways to get them to places with transportation available, but you have to let them know ahead of time. They had on-site laundry and an area where they had games and coffee. The food was very good because they have their own chef. I was very impressed with the food. They also had prayer at the mealtime and bible study once or twice a week.

My wife moved into Clairmont. I don't have any complaints about the staff, and everything seems to be fine so far. The rooms are adequate and big enough for a couple. They have bingo, card games, different kinds of entertainment, and a bus that takes them around and shows them different places. The food needs improvement, but the place is less expensive.

I visited The Clairmont. Walking in the door, the first thing that struck me was that there was a smell of cigarette smoke in the air. They're trying to phase out smoking, but there's still a resident there who does smoke, and it permeates. The rooms were small, and it seemed very crowded in the dining room. I wasn't impressed with it.

The people that we saw at The Clairmont were very nice. The community was very nice, had a very caring atmosphere, and had happy people. It was a very nice place, and the staff seemed to be very caring. The rooms were nice and included a balcony and windows that they could look out of and see what was going on outside.

What my mother likes about The Clairmont was the fact that she can have enough space to have all of her furniture, and she has a backdoor that she could let her dog out. She has a patio that was big enough, and she can put her swing on it. She also likes the fact that she gets three meals a day, and they have a chef, so the food is really good. The people are super nice, and she says she feels like she is at home now. They do field trips, and they have a bus that is available for them any time if they need to go to the doctor or go to the pharmacy. They have indoor activities like bingo, card games, and board games. They have a library, which she likes because she likes to read. They have an exercise room where she can go and ride the bike to keep her legs strong. She is very happy there. The staff is very good.

I visited The Clairmont for my mother. I pretty much made up my mind to go with this facility because they had a room available, and I needed to move her in there soon. The Clairmont was good. They have a large dining room, and they offer three meals a day. They have laundry facilities, and they also have housekeeping services. They offer onsite home health care. They have a beauty shop and different activities. We looked at a one-bedroom and two studio-type apartments. They're adequate. They have a balcony and some of the first floor apartments have separate entrances coming from outside. The staff was excellent. For activities, they have regularly scheduled Bible studies and church services, they have corn hole toss games, and they have music. I know they're having a big Halloween party. However, they could improve on some of the carpet that was a little dated in the hallways, and they had a water leak in the ceilings that hasn't been repaired yet.

I'm currently residing at The Clairmont. This is a much smaller and more intimate family-type of a facility. It is a well-maintained community. I have a one-bedroom. It is carpeted, and it is very clean. I also have a kitchenette with a dorm size fridge, but no kitchen. What I like about this place is that they have three meals a day. They have a beautiful dining room. It is very, very nice. Regarding the staff, they all seem pretty well committed. Also, they are very energetic.
