I went to Morada Friendswood on Sunday. The lady was very nice and very attentive. However, I didn't like it because the set-up that my parents would be in reminded me of an adjoining room hotel and it just felt like I would be living in a hotel. The activities that they had didn't seem as many as in the other place, and it was more expensive. Morada Friendswood was nice and clean. The atmosphere was pleasant. I just didn't like the rooms at all.
We went into the dining room and visited some of the residents. The food looked appetizing. But I didn't get a chance to sample any of it. Activities seemed very basic. I didn't see areas for physical therapy as they did at the other place. They have an area set up for watching TV and church services and where they have an ice cream social. There was no smell, and it was a nice-looking building. It felt like you'd be living in a hotel. It just didn't feel right.

Morada Friendswood was a nice place. It seemed like it was well-kept, but the rooms were really small. The staff who toured me was very knowledgeable and helpful. She showed us everything around the place. She did her job. They supplied all type of amenities. It was near shopping, but it was a little bit out of reach of the mall and all the main stuff that people may want to go to. For me, it was a lot farther from my house.

My stepfather moved in. They'll be helping with bathing and giving him his meds. I like the people that I've dealt with down there. They were very accommodating. I initially did a virtual tour, then they allowed me to come down there and walk the grounds and kind of peek through the window of the room that I was looking at. One of the big plusses for me was it's all ground level. I looked at a couple that were two stories and I had very big reservations about a 95-year-old on an elevator. If the electricity goes out or if he got in there and got confused, I did not want him to be on the second or higher floor.
A girl from the memory care part came and assessed him with the nurse. I've been very impressed with them both. I adore the lady who runs the concierge part. I'm happy down there. I'm pleased. It's a friendly atmosphere, it's nice, clean, and on the ground floor, which is a big plus for me with him being 95. I haven't run into any really major problems or anything. They've been very straightforward with anything, and they took care of everything. I haven't really been allowed to go anywhere in there yet with the pandemic.
I did a virtual tour, then they came out here that day and assessed my stepfather. The nurse and the memory care person came out here in their masks and they had him get up and walk around. I told them at that point in time, this is a lot of money I'm gonna be spending, it's hard for me just to commit without seeing the space. So they allowed me to come down there the next day. They took me to the courtyard and let me look through the window and through the room. I was not allowed in the building, but they helped me out in that respect as well. The day I went down I signed the paperwork.

It had nice apartments. It's a very nice place and in a convenient location. We ate there, and they've got good food. The dining area was very nice.

My mom moved in 2 months ago, and it's been pretty good. All the residents seem very happy, my mom presses her button for assistance, and they're there for like 5 minutes. She has a large room, she needed some modifications before she can move in, and they did it right away. It's been pretty well so far. They have bingo, they have exercise, sometimes twice a day, they have movies, they have a calendar, they have puzzles, and they keep them busy. The staff seemed very nice. It's a single story, and that helps my mom. It's an older building, but it's nice and clean.

It was a beautiful place with pretty surroundings, but our biggest disappointment was they didn't have a 2-bedroom apartment available. However, the apartments that we saw were really nice. They have a library, an exercise room, and a beautiful dining room.

We liked it but they had no availability. The memory care unit there was very nice. The residents are allowed to go outside. They have a lot of interaction. The rooms are very nice and very roomy. The staff seemed excellent. As far as activities, we didn't see a tremendous amount going on, but we did see some. They did not have any kind of leveled care. They have an outdoor garden area, a big community room where they do their activities, and a separate dining area which is very nice and especially set up for memory care folks.

It seemed very nice. They take Alzheimer's patients. There were a lot of elderly people working on jigsaw puzzles. They had a small library. The food seemed good for those who could walk and get to the dining hall.

I visited, The hallways were large. It had a lot of nice amenities. I saw one room, and it was fine. They had sitting areas down the hallways which was nice. It had a little movie theater, and I liked it. The outdoor courtyard was nice. We would have chosen it except that it was too far from our home. The staff was really friendly.

I liked a little bit more, and they had individual emergency button necklaces that they could wear, but they were more expensive because they had additional nurses for people who couldn’t get out of bed. The rooms were very nice; you had options to have 1 or 2-bedrooms. The staff was very nice, helpful, knowledgeable, and caring.

The staff was very attentive. They explained a lot of things to us. There was a memory care area and a regular resident section. The dining area was nice and looked inviting. It was decorated nicely and looked homey. There were little niches with couches in them, and people could get out of their rooms to watch TV.

It was a very nice place. They talked to us about their activities in the activity room, like jewelry making and a lot of classes. From my short visit, the staff seemed very nice and friendly.

The staff of was friendly. The rooms were a bit small but clean and had everything you needed. I was really looking for respite care for my mom, so it would have only just been like a week. They had a dining room -- which seemed nice -- and a medication dispenser area. The dining area looked roomy enough, and they had it decorated nicely.

We had my father in which was close to our house and he was in hospice for about 5 days. They were excellent; I was very pleased with the facility. Even though he was only there for 5 days, I was also really pleased and satisfied with the hospice group that we dealt with. The rooms were OK. I never ate there but the food smelled good and looked good. Everything worked out.

I visited, and I like this place. It felt that you are walking into a really nice hotel. They have shared and unshared rooms for their residents. Their food looked good. They do outings as well.

It was nice and all that. It was something that we were considering. The rooms were a little bit small, but other than that, we liked the set-up. They had activities. Some of them had physical therapy. They did have a memory care unit. If they weren't able to go to the assisted living, you had the choice of a memory care which was nice too. They were very informative and the lady that told us all about it was very nice.

We visited when we looked for a facility for mom. It was clean and the staff were friendly. They had all kinds of activities and a bus also took them to the doctor's or shopping. They had all the amenities like the other facility.

They were very responsive and they had actually put me in their mailing list and I hear from them once in a while. The staff was very courteous and responsive. The facility was very clean, the rooms very comfortable, cafeteria was clean, bright, and had a nice air about it. It's a comfortable facility. I saw notices on the wall of the schedule of activities. I know they have church services there, they have pastors and priests come in.

My girlfriends grandmother really likes this facility. The facility is physically nice and up to date. Group activities are provided, and little oversight is given to those who are self sufficient. Social, Physical, and Mental health seem to be at the forefront, and the wide range of tenants seems to testify to it. The facility IS located in a fairly well to do neighborhood that is technically within the Houston city limits but within it's own community. Most tenants live in individual housing with visits from staff members several times a day depending on the needs of said patient. If I was in my girlfriend's grandmother's place, I wouldn't be unsatiusfied (yes i know that's a double negative - still applies.)

I am the caretaker for myself and my husband who has suffered from a stroke.
Our rep was very very nice. It was a nice clean facility. It wasn't enough space. They had no 2 bedroom units available.
We ultimately decided to stay in our home when we came to the conclusion that going there was not going to help me help him. We think that in home health care assistance would be best.
