My mother moved into Mesa Springs Healthcare Center. It's a nursing home. It seems like they're shorthanded just like any place these days. But the people that are there, I do like. The nurses and the aides are very helpful. I wish her room was a little bit bigger, but it's adequate. She has a roommate, and so when you get two wheelchairs in there, and two trays, and then her roommate has a gigantic recliner, there's no room for anything else. My mother couldn't have a recliner too. If they were normal-sized recliners, there could be two I think. It's just a little crowded with two people. She does PT and OT five days a week. I know it's good for her. I don't know that it's helping her get stronger, but I think it's helping her maintain. She eats the meals, so I'd say they're okay. It's older, I think. And her closet doors are beaten up and her night's stand is beaten up. So, they can improve the way things look. They have a courtyard. They have an activities room, that's where they have the PT.

My dad moved into Mesa Springs Retirement Village in May. It's very clean. The staff is exceptionally nice, and they're very willing to work with dad in whatever care he needs. They have been very open and honest with the financial side, which helped us through the insurance side. Because he hadn't had the second COVID vaccine yet, they had him in quarantine for two weeks; he just came out of quarantine. He'll start his activities sometime next week. He likes bingo and dominoes, and they've got it all set up for him. Dad has actually said that he has enjoyed the food too. They give him a monthly calendar that has all the activities in it. They also give him a little piece of paper that has the menu for the month, so he already knows what he's going to have. He really likes that because it helps him out a lot. I think it's a good value for the amount of money that's being paid there and it's a beautiful facility.

I would never choose Mesa Springs for my loved one again. When we wanted to take my mother in law out of the facility, they tried to stop us. We almost had to get an attorney. Their care of her was extremely low.

I think my dad had very good care at Mesa Springs Healthcare Center. The social worker had called and informed me that they've had 3 COVID cases with either a staff or a resident. They would call and let us know when things like that happened, like when there was a fire close to the community, I received a phone call within a couple hours. The nurses were really good, but right now we're not allowed inside the community. We would do window visits in my dad's room and his room was clean, he enjoyed his food and he had a TV, a phone and a chair. Physical therapy had helped him get in and out of his chair and walk. I have been in the lobby, it's very nice and clean. We had the screening questions and temperature taken. Dad was there for several weeks. He enjoyed the food there, and breakfast was his favorite. We just had a really good experience. His insurance paid most of the cost.

Every time I walk into this facility I feel welcome and at ease. All the staff are so friendly and smiling, it makes me feel great knowing there are happy individuals caring for my loved one! The facility always looks and smells so clean, definitely a place for you to trust!!!

Terrible place to put your loved one. The room that my Mother was in had food on doors and trash on the floor. Took a week to get someone to clean it up. Mother wouldn't even eat the food. The rehab that she was suppose to get only happened one time. Finally moved her out to a better place. Then they tried to bill us for things she did not use.

The rooms at Mesa Spring are horrid. My mother-in-law is there, and she shares a room with someone. The rooms are so small, and she’s by the wall. The curtain that goes between her and the lady next to her for privacy goes right in the middle of her lounge chair. They only bathe them twice a week. The food is institutional, it doesn’t taste good, and it doesn’t have a flavor.

Mesa Springs is all-in-one senior living facility. We visited an apartment and a room there. The staff was very friendly and very accommodating. They did have activities for their residents there.

Very nice facilities. The campus is a little unorganized, but everything I've seen has been tidy and all residents are taken care of by a good nursing staff.
