My brother-in-law will be moving into BeeHive Homes of Abilene. What I like the most is that it is a small facility. It has only 16 beds. It's very homelike. I like the way the kitchen was open for the residents to just see somebody milling around in the kitchen cooking. The rooms were not as large as I would've liked. The staff was wonderful.

My visit to BeeHive Homes of Abilene was very positive. The dining area was very clean, I liked that the kitchen was open where the residents could see in. They were careful to have snacks out throughout the day for the residents. It's very family style. The rooms were OK. They did not have a kitchenette and the closet space was very small, too small for what we needed. The staff told me all about their schedule throughout the day, what the policy was with people coming to visit, their offers, and things they did for the clients. It was very thorough.

This is a new assisted facility out by Sam's Club in Abilene, TX. It is a very nice place that we found for our mother. Kathi the coordinator and the nurse Monica are awesome and the staff are always welcoming and kind to everyone, they always are there for my mother in whatever she may need. My mother loves this place and her room is very roomy and bathroom as well. She was needing 24 hr care and the staff is excellent in helping her with her needs. Mother always comments how well they take of her. She loves interacting with the residents. It is a smaller place than some we looked at but it's perfect for her and very nice and clean. They have about 17 rooms and right now they have about 5 residents there. My mother loves the activities and her hair and nails done. They offer 3 meals a day which is delicious by the way and they have a nice dining room, and its always bright and open. They have a living area where they can have movie night. A salon where they do their hair and nails. And an outside patio with a firepit where they can go outside and visit or eat or just enjoy the outdoors. I would definitely recommend the Beehive Assisted Living.
