I did not like Morningside of Springfield. It was a very old facility, they did not have many options. They only had one 1-bedroom, everything else is small and it was not appealing at all. It's in a very bad part of town. As far as the tour itself, it was nice, including the person showing me around. She was very sweet and very nice. There's hardly any closet space, no microwave, and no refrigerator in the room. It was just a room. You can sit out front at the front place and I think that's the only little outside area that they had, right by the front door.

My relative is in the assisted living at Morningside of Springfield, but he will be moving to the independent. It is a very nice facility. It is very clean, and he is comfortable there. The staff is great. It fits our needs. It is also close to where my sister lives. We have been very pleased with them. Everything is clean. The people are caring. They offer what he needs, and they have activities. He is waiting to go to the independent living as soon as they have their remodeling done.

What a blessing the wonderful staff at Morningside of Springfield has been and continues to be for me and my family!
My Mother knowingly chose Morningside of Springfield once she needed skilled care, and my family and I are not only thankful for her insight but also for the competency, courtesy and consistency of the personnel at Morningside. I always felt the staff worked in my Mother’s best interests and I could not be happier with the care and attention she received. My first impression of Morningside of Springfield being well-managed by an experienced administrator with a very supportive and seasoned team never wavered over the thirty three months Mother was a resident. Mother’s physician as well as her family credit Morningside of Springfield’s staff and environment with not only extending her life but improving the quality of her life. The adept medical personnel not only administered her medications timely but were attentive when medical issues surfaced thus affording me some peace of mind. My Mother, having a sociable and energetic personality until her health deteriorated, benefited from the various social activities organized by the efficient and creative social director and from the friendliness of the staff, residents and visitors. Mother appreciated good food, and I can only praise the dietitian and her team for not only providing food choices but delicious and well-balanced meals. Housekeeping and maintenance services were provided promptly and pleasantly.
Our visits to Morningside did not cease with Mother’s recent passing, during which the staff was caring and helpful in numerous ways. They continue to welcome us with open arms. My dad visits and enjoys the camaraderie and a meal several times a week and other family members drop by somewhat less regularly. Thank you for your loving friendships, exceptional services, and steadfast support. Cheryl

My Mom was at Morningside of Springfield twice over the past eight years. The care was exceptional and the food was absolutely delicious. Mom felt very loved by all of the employees. They became family to all of us. Mom passed away recently and looking back on the past 10years of her life the best decision we ever made was to trust Morningside with our Mom"s care. Since the caregivers took care our Mom"s needs when we visited we were free to shower our Mom with love instead of trying to cook, clean and do personal care. Thank you Morningside for loving and caring for our Mom. We will be forever grateful !

My aunt has lived at Morningside for more than two years and I try to spend several hours with her each day. During this time I have seen an extraordinary staff provide a very wide range of services for the residents in a very caring and professional manner. My aunt has lived her life in a very independent manner prior to moving here but has adjusted very well to her new living environment. She greatly enjoys Morningside's delicious homemade meals and desserts, plus the ability to have multiple food selections for each of her meals. She greatly enjoys her new friends and the many activites provided each day by trained professionals. My aunt's general health has improved because the nurses administer her medications as her phyicians have directed (both amount and times). My aunt is very happy at Morningside and I have found it a joy to observe the inner workings of such a well managed facility.
