We chose Sevier County Health Care Center for my mom because it was the only facility that accepted her for her income. They did not take good care of her and they did not do a lot with the residents. They did not take them outside or anywhere else. It seemed like they did not want to take the time to do that. They had a big dayroom where the residents were and they did several things with them. The food was edible but not the greatest. She was in a shared room and it smelled of urine. It was very depressing and I was unhappy. There was nothing I liked about it.

This facility is nice, but a bit understaffed. There were never enough nurses on the floor at one time to truly care for the residents in the best way. There were two patients that had asked to be helped to the bathroom for more than 30 minutes and no one ever came to their rooms. I finally took both of them myself to help out. Otherwise the doctors are easy to talk to, the food is actually pretty good, and the physical therapy staff are wonderful. If they could just hire several more nurses, this would be truly a great facility for anyone to go to.
