About This Community

To us at Schilling Gardens - assisted living by Americare in Collierville, Tennessee, assisted living means two things: you do the living and we help you live. Our personal assistants provide what you need when you need it. Here, the emphasis is less on paperwork and more on people. Our licensed nurse and certified medication aides get to know our residents like family, with all of their unique needs and preferences. It's like home.

Dining is a focal point of our residents' day at Schilling Gardens - assisted living by Americare. It starts with an open breakfast with eggs just the way you like them. We accommodate our early risers ready for toast and coffee as well as those who can't start the day without a big hot breakfast. Comfort foods, foods familiar and favorite, are part of our menu.

Our admission counseling services are comprehensive. Our administrator helps guide the family through all of the care options available to them as well as through the maze of paperwork involved with accessing our public long term care benefits. Making it easy on the family is our first priority at Schilling Gardens - assisted living by Americare.

At The Arbors at Schilling Gardens, living with Alzheimer's becomes less of a challenge for you and your loved one. We combine the intimacy of assisted living with specialized care for dementia. The size of the Arbors promotes a comforting, calming environment. With no more than 15 rooms, the Arbors co-exists with a sister assisted living facility, yet remains separate. Care is provided in a building specifically designed with the care of the Alzheimer's resident in mind. We consider each resident's own strengths and weaknesses to weave a seamless cloth of individualized care. We also incorporate the latest approaches to this challenging disease into the daily routines and activities of all our residents. It's difficult to even search for proper care while tending to someone with Alzheimer's. Each day presents new challenges to patients and their caregivers. At the Arbors we offer a shelter of care and advice for the entire family.

My parents moved into Schilling Gardens last April. The community is not too large and not too small, convenient to my home, and seems fine. The staff has a very good working attitude and is caring to the residents. They have a one-bedroom with a living area. They like the food and have a wide variety to pick from, and the dining area is set up nicely. They have a large common area with card tables, puzzles, and a TV. They have people come in to sing to them once a week. They have a big screened-in porch, so they can go outside, and flower beds that are raised to wheelchair height. There are lots of things for them to do there.

Both of my parents lived here and everyone is wonderful. It is a small place, so everyone gets a lot of extra attention. My parents lived in two other places locally before moving here and this is by far THE BEST. The director of nursing is amazing and the administrator will talk to families 24/7- she gives everyone her cell number. This is a very loving and attentive place. The food is great. They are very active. My family has never been happier with care for my parents. We can finally take a vacation.

This is the third facility my aunt has lived in, and this is HOME to her. Everyone Is wonderful here. I loved it when the director told us their "greatest amenity was love". No other facility in the area compares and I have been in ALL of them trying to find the perfect place. Schilling Gardens has become a home for our family. Nothing else compares to the love and comfort you feel as soon as you walk in the door. Our family recommends it as the only 5 star assisted living in the area.

My dad is at Schilling Gardens and it's a 5-star place. It's a two-year old facility and he loves it there. He thinks of it as his little home right now. The food is great.
