I know nursing homes are places of last resort, but The Waters in Clinton, Tennessee is egregiously terrible. It's smelly, seems dirty and patients are virtually ignored. The last two times I was there, the man I was visiting was sitting on his urine-soaked bed without a staff member in sight. I helped him into an adult diaper and dry pants and saw no staff member even look in to check on him or the other man who shared the room. It was over an hour, and the only staff member I saw was a woman mopping the hall with a bucket of brown water. I am a friend of his family and was there to check on him., he is not a relative. There are ostensibly a dozen or so residents with Covid, but i saw no measures to contain transmission among the patients. He is prone to falling, and a staffer reported a couple of days ago that he was found on the floor "trying to do push-ups," which is ludicrous, he obviously had fallen and was trying to get up. He could have been there for hours, and I doubt anyone would have noticed. They have "lost" most of his personal items, and no one has attempted to find them. His room is completely inadequate, no drawers to keep clothing or other possessions, only a tiny closet with no hangers and a very small shelf above the clothing bar where one would expect to find hangers. The television isn't functional, which I reported a few days ago, and it still isn't. If ever a case could be made for nursing home neglect, this is textbook. I have urged his family to contact an attorney because this place is egregiously awful. I am aware that nursing home living is not ideal for anyone, but this one doesn't even seem to provide a modicum of care or concern. I can't understand why it is still allowed to operate or survives even a very cursory inspection by state agencies. It's a warehouse for bodies, and not much more.

The Waters of Clinton was not bad for a nursing home. It was OK. It was pretty clean. It was alright; it wasn't really smelly. Everybody was very kind and friendly. It felt homey. They had a dog that walked around and visited everybody.

This place is awful. It's dirty. It smells bad. They don't pay attention to the patient's needs. They don't communicate at all with patient's family unless they want money. Plans of Care? Status of Health? Medications? Discharge Planning? Insurance Questions? Not one word. But oh, your mother visited the beautician and had her hair washed so she owes us $5 so make sure you bring it the next time you come. If you have ANY other option, take it. Don't choose The Waters for your loved one.
very Greatful family
Here have been so many wonderful changes I have seen take place since the new owners and new management has arrived. The focus is on patients and their care now. I love being able to talk to the new director and administrator at any time and see they actually do something!

Golden Livingcenter is awful. When I walked in the door, I had to take a breath of fresh air before because it had the odor of pee. People were sitting around, beepers were going off all of the time, and there was a lady yelling. It’s a very depressing place to me. If I had to put my mother there, I think I would go insane. There are two people to a room and share one nightstand and a really small closet. It looks old and run down. I don’t think the staff is that friendly. There’s nothing that I liked about it.

My father is in a nursing home. He is in Golden Livingcenter-Windwood. We decided on this one because it is closer to me and my sister. He has been there since February. Our experience with them is pretty good. The surroundings are good. For amenities, they have different things like bingo. They keep in touch with me, and they would call me when his blood sugar is up and all that. My father had pneumonia several times, and they called and let me know that they had taken him to the hospital. The staff is OK.

My father was taken straight to Golden Living Center straight from the hospital, but he died 27 days later. Their services are fantastic. I highly recommend them. We checked out four different nursing homes and they are the best. It was clean and it didn’t have any odor. The staff were extremely friendly and even the residents there seemed to be very happy. The rooms were typical size of a hospital and he shares with another person, but it worked out very well.

This is a nice home, my Mother-in-law is a resident there and she likes it, but this home is very much understaffede. They need more pay or some benifits to mantain a good quality staff.

While this is a very nice facility, they do not have enough nursing staff to properly care for all of the residents that they have living here. I noticed that a lot of the dishes are left in the residents rooms until the next meal comes around, and the staff really seems to be running behind most of the time. With such a large facility, they really need to have a lot more staff in order to ensure safety for the patients.
