I enjoyed the tour at Commonwealth Senior Living, and I like the facility a lot. They're great people, and it impressed me the way they were taking care of the residents there. The bedroom was one large room with a lot of closet space and a clean bathroom. The first floor has all the common areas. The second floor was for assisted living residents. The third and fourth floors were for residential living. It's for seniors or couples who don't really need assisted living at the time, but wanted to live in an apartment-type complex. They have different activities on different days of the week. They have bingo, puzzles, and exercises.

This place is not for any human being to live. The lack of safety to others is completely and utterly dangerous. They are under review of safety regulations of others

Commonwealth Senior Living at Oak Ridge was very nice, but it was a big tall building and my friend would've been on the third floor, and she wouldn't want that. It was older, but it was in good condition. The staff was nice, and it was an active community. There were people coming and going, and a bus had gone off for shopping. The staff showed me different rooms, layouts and prices, and the price was nice. Oak Ridge was my favorite city to live in. It's a walkable town, and it's near a great hospital. The majority of doctors, Wal-Mart, and a movie theater were all within 5-10 minutes. Everything is quick and easy to get to. They had activity rooms, a party room, popcorn, and a movie room. They were redoing one of the major rooms, and everything's well kept up. The hallways were nice, wide and bright. They had a mailbox station and elevators, and they also had an Alzheimer's unit.

It was a very welcoming place. It looked clean and attractive. It's not the newest in Oak Ridge, but it had a pleasing atmosphere when you go in. The person that assisted me during the tour was very eager to show me the place, very enthusiastic, and very welcoming. She knew what she was doing and she was very interested in the welfare of their residents. I ate there and I enjoyed the food. If you need more, you just have to ask them, which I think is really nice. They have everything that I would want.

We moved my mother in about 2 weeks ago. She’s still adjusting, but I think she likes it. The staff is very nice. She’s in a studio right now. I’d like to see them have a separate bedroom within the assisted living floor to make it seem more like a home. Right now, it kind of seems like a hotel room, but we’re hoping maybe she can move to independent-living later on as she gets stronger. She likes the food. Some of the activities are a little repetitive, but they have quite a few. They have shuttle services. The grounds are very nice and very well kept.

It was very nice. We're impressed with what we saw. The staff was delightful, but the apartment she showed was a little small. We had lunch there, the food was fine, and the menu looked good to me.

We had a very good visit. The executive director hosted us for a tour of the premises. We liked the place. The only thing that would have been negative was that it was multi-story, and you had to get up and down on elevators. They had a puzzle room and various places to do crafts. There was a library and a television center where they did a variety of things. It's definitely a very nice facility. We were treated very well and were very pleased with what we saw.

I've been quite satisfied with this community, and my parents have too because my mother is independent while my father is currently in need of a fairly high level of care, but he is improving steadily. They chose to go there several months ago from California, and after looking at and talking with my siblings, we were visiting several assisted living communities here in East Tennessee. The rooms are quite satisfactory.
