The reason I chose Dewitt Place Assisted Living Community for my mom is that there were a lot of different opportunities and there's a very vast variety of activities. There was sewing, there was reading, and there were arts and crafts. The menu was well done. I met the chef and talked to the chef. The people in the administration were very helpful and very informative. There are protocols in place where you have to wear a mask, you also have to have your fever tested, and they ask you a few questions about it. So there were protocols in place for that as well.

I live in Dewitt Place. It is mainly for people that don't know what's going on. They've got memory loss or something like that. I spend most of my time just in my room because there isn't anything to do here. All they have is assisted living or memory care. They have a lot of just sandwiches. Other than that, the food is pretty good. There isn't much because most people don't know what's going on. They used to have bingo, but that pretty much got canceled because most of the people here don't know what's going on. The staff is awesome. The rooms are really small. For what I need and for what they do, I think the price is outrageous. When I came, they promised me one price, but they charged me something else.

My mom is in Dewitt. It is wonderful. We are very happy with it. She has a small room. They do have large ones, but our doctor recommends the small one. It is adequate for her. We eat there, and the food is very good. The dining room set-up is really nice. I will recommend it to others.

We've been in here for 6 weeks now. It is clean, the food and the care are good, and the price is reasonable. They took two small individual units and combined it so that we got a living room and a bathroom. They got a lot of different programs that they run. There’s a big family room beside the dining room, a game room, and a therapy room. It’s very convenient and the people are all nice. They are providing all the services that we need.

I loved everything. The staff was great and I was really looking forward to placing my mother there even though it would have been a drive for me. The facility and the staff were great. She took me all over the facility and let me look at the different level areas that Mom could go see. I was impressed with the service and the help that I got from just talking to them.
