About This Community

To us at Alexandria Place - assisted living by Americare in Jackson, Tennessee, assisted living means two things: you do the living and we help you live. Our personal assistants provide what you need when you need it. Here, the emphasis is less on paperwork and more on people. Our licensed nurse and certified medication aides get to know our residents like family, with all of their unique needs and preferences. It's like home.

Dining is a focal point of our residents' day at Alexandria Place - assisted living by Americare. It starts with an open breakfast with eggs just the way you like them. We accommodate our early risers ready for toast and coffee as well as those who can't start the day without a big hot breakfast. Comfort foods, foods familiar and favorite, are part of our menu.

Our admission counseling services are comprehensive. Our administrator helps guide the family through all of the care options available to them as well as through the maze of paperwork involved with accessing our public long term care benefits. Making it easy on the family is our first priority at Alexandria Place - assisted living by Americare.

My mother is now in Alexandria Place for assisted living. It's a smaller assisted community with only 25 residents there, which is why we chose them. We've had excellent and we've had no complaints. My mom enjoys the food in the dining area. The staff has been extremely attentive and it's been wonderful, they're excellent and met every need. She's in a 1-bedroom which is like a studio-type, and it has a walk-in bathroom. They have activities like bingo, exercise classes, and they do worship type events. My mom has a PEG tube that needs to be flushed out every weekend, and their nurse don't do that on the weekend so they allow us to come through a door on the weekend. Their beauty salon was one of the things we were excited about, and they also have a courtyard.

Everything at Alexandria Place was very good. The staff was also good, but the rooms were a little bit small. They were a little more expensive so we chose the other community. They were willing to give us a discount for three months, but it would still be more than we can afford. It's a very caring and professional community. They were casual and friendly -- not cold and indifferent -- and I felt that they would give very good care. They also had a patio, which was nice.

No place is home but home. But sometimes you have to have to make hard call for a parent because home can no longer provide the care your parent requires. Alexandria Place made that call much easier for me. The staff provides not only good care, but relational opportunities and activities that allow dad to have what he could not at his home. His knees won't let him dance anymore, but the staff at least makes him feel like he can.

My experience at Alexandria Place has been nothing short of amazing. The staff there are the most caring people. They tenderly love all of the residents like they are their own. I really enjoy the family nights, entertainment and the community outings. They are always laughing and having fun. Thank you all for taking great care of the residents.

My parents have been at Alexandria Place for almost 4 months. They love all the people that work there. They are constantly bragging on the employees & the food! We love Jennifer-the Administrator-she has been so much help with everything we have needed. It has been such a blessing to me to know they have 24 hour care & are with such loving & caring people.
