My Greandfather was a patient at Life Care for nearly two months. During this time, I had to repeatedly ask them to help me change his clothes and bedding. My Grandfather is a veteran and he cannot stand closed in spaces due to previous experiences. The beds that they are equipped with have safety bars that they have to put up and he asked them not to put them up every night. He finally got tired of them doing this and he slept in his chair for 39 days at night or would sleep during the day. The facility was unsanitary to say the least and the staff was anything but attentive to my Grandfather or other residents. It was the minimum effort to make them comfortable. Throughout my Grandfather's stay, the facilty has three major breakouts of contaigious "bugs" going around and would have to lock everyone in and keep visitors out. I personally think that if they would clean better then maybe it would not have continued to spread around.
