We have chosen Charter Senior Living of Cookeville for my mom. The staff members were all very nice, very friendly, and very good at showing us all the activities and introducing us to some of the other residents that were sitting out in the hallway. It ended up that my mom knew one of them when they were both working, so I think they would get acquainted when she gets over there. The rooms were nice. We looked at a one-bedroom and a studio. We were interested in a one-bedroom simply because it was bigger and it would give her more space. It wasn't furnished, so you had to bring your own furniture, which she would want, anyway. The dining area was very nice. It looked like a fancy hotel dining room. One day when I was there, they had a new dish and they brought it in for the two people I was meeting with to try, and it was delicious. It was good. The grounds were beautiful. They were well-kept. They had bird feeders everywhere. They have a pond with ducks in it. It was very nice and peaceful. They have a nice outdoor sitting area. At the time, they were doing some kind of craft, and then in another room, there was a table of ladies playing cards.

My brother moved to Charter Senior Living Cookville. The place is well-managed. The staff is great with the elderly or seniors. They're compassionate. The food is good; he just tends to complain a lot. They have things, such as entertainment. This week, there was a country music singer there. The facility itself is great. They have upgraded and modernized it. Its location is also convenient for everything.

Our overall experience with Charter Senior Living of Cookeville has been very good. They're very personable and eager for my aunt to be a part of their community. I like the people the most. They're very caring, and they reach out to make the new tenants feel at home. They are working on upgrading a few of the rooms. We haven't been there long enough, but I know they have several activities scheduled.
