I went to StoryPoint Chattanooga. When I got there, the maintenance guy was out front and he said, 'When you're moving in?' I said, 'Well, I'm not sure. I hadn't looked at it yet.' And he said, 'Well, all I got to say is Welcome Home.' So the staff was very cordial. It's like they live there and they're very joyful about the place. I got to tour a one-bedroom; it's very clean. Every one of the rooms was very clean like the lobby. When you first walk in, it's always very clean. The dining area was the least favorite dining room that I saw. It was toward the back of the building, so it wasn't very open to me. It looked very small and compact. I just didn't like the location of where it was. The staff who took me around introduced me to people, and the residents would come up and say something. So everybody was very happy and joyful, too. People were eating when I went because it was around lunchtime, and they bragged about the chef and all.

This community is clean, professionally managed, and looks practically brand new with the recent renovations. Staff is friendly, helpful and abundant- something you rarely see these days. I love coming to Storypoint where my mom receives the BEST care available. I highly recommend this community.

Beautiful community that is fully staffed and clean! We are so happy we chose this community for our family member. Long term staff and management- this says a lot. Love Storypoint Chattanooga, can't say enough good things about it.

Storypoint has been a blessing for my family. The staff provides loving , excellent care. I can depend on the staff to treat my mom with love and compassion. Whatever she needs they ensure she gets it. They communicate with us and we work together to ensure mom’s care is specific to her needs. The staff loves our mom as if she were their mom or grandmother.

The rooms are being remodeled, but actually my mom loves her room as is. She is in a studio with a kitchenette. The bathroom is really large as well. Mom loves the door to the courtyard patio. She has a view of the beautiful courtyard filled with trees and lights.
The staff is great with mom as well. She relies on them to check on her and alert her for meals and they also provide her medicine to her. Mom is pretty independent but it is great knowing she is taken care of if needed as I live out of town. We have played bingo several times and that was fun. The van takes the residents to Target or somewhere once a week. If I ever have an issue, I can call Story Point and someone will relay the message or get me to the proper person to handle the issue and then usually they go to mom and talk to her as well. The food has greatly improved but there needs to be a little more lienency in swapping a choice if the meal is not appetizing once served. The food needs to be a priority for all residents to get what they would like to have. Story Point has changed my mom's health and spirits from a year ago. I really appreciate all the care she gets. We are happy to have her live there.

My mother has a spacious studio apartment at Story Point Chattanooga with private full bathroom. Apartment has enough space for twin bed, nightstand, couch, full dresser, desk with chair, living room cushioned chair and dorm-size refrigerator placed on separate table.
Story Point’s employees from Director of nursing/ her entire nursing staff to kitchen chef/servers to maintenance to activity director to receptionist to administration all know my mother’s preferences & dislikes especially her preference for chocolate kisses !!!!! The staff all know my name as well as my husband and Mom’s grandchildren. More important the Staff are caring, patient, and compassionate with my mother as well as with other residents as I’ve frequently witnessed on my visits to see my Mom.
Staff employees are also knowledgeable about this population, helpful and quick to meet and discuss their concerns about food, preferences, declining mobility issues, and general fears about aging.
The Director of Nursing is very open and approachable when asked about by mother’s medical conditions and immediately responds to her changing medical issues by informing me as well as her primary care physician (not in-house). Story Point also provides a Nurse Practitioner who comes onsite and has addressed other unexpected medical issues.
The Activities Director offers weekly art projects from Bingo, exercise classes, musical events including hymn sing-alongs with pianist to small bands, making tie dye t-shorts to name just a few. My mother enjoys Bingo and I often accompany her and participate myself for a fun hour of Bingo. Mom usually wins!
Each major holiday including Christmas, New Years Day, Valentines Day, St Patrick’s Day, Mother’s and Father’s Day etc. are observed by staff who joins with residents to celebrate by decorating the lobby and halls to participating in special activities including cookie decorating and making ornament crafts at Christmas. Local church choirs come at Christmas moving door to door singing carols and engaging with residents. Several local churches have special weekly services and musical activities.
On Mother’s Day this year Story Point held a special Mother’s Day Brunch for residents with great food (omelettes, bacon/sausage, biscuits etc) cooked and served by the Chef and his staff so all families could celebrate our mothers.
Story Point has in-house beauty salon offering weekly services, a manicurist who comes every other month for manicures/pedicures, bus rides to grocery stores, neighborhood rides, trips to local baseball games.
Nursing is the glue which holds everything together. Nursing staff is very personable and engaging with my mom by providing and meeting her medical needs, activities of daily living needs, and dispensing her daily medications.
I understand how tiring and challenging employee positions can be at any facility as I was a former rehabilitation therapist at another company which included short-term rehab/long-term skilled nursing care. Story Point employees go above and beyond my expectations providing the best overall care for my mother and I feel grateful to the staff for all their endeavors.

My 93 year old uncle is so happy here. He tells me every time I visit. The staff is outstanding. Very caring. On the rare occasion that there’s a problem it’s addressed & taken care of immediately. My life as his closest relative is much easier because of the care he gets. I don’t have to worry.

We toured StoryPoint Chattanooga yesterday. It was very nice and everything. It would have been great, but my mom just requires more skilled nursing than they have. They are just more assisted living and not skilled. For assisted living, it was a very nice facility. Actually, we saw both assisted living and memory care. The staff we spoke with were very knowledgeable and very helpful. The place itself was very nice, very good, clean, and neat. They had a salon, a courtyard, and a patio. It was very nice.

I was very impressed with StoryPoint Chattanooga. I saw their assisted living. They were very friendly and the facilities they had, I thought, were good. They give a lot of freedom. These are the things that impressed me more than anything. It is situated on a very busy road and people are allowed out and they can go in their own car. My husband would not be able to do that but he would enjoy the facility they have. I thought I would feel very safe about it.
I was impressed by the lady who took my name when we went there. The place has been redone. I think it was closed during COVID and they had a lot of upgrades done to it. The upgrades were very nice. The living conditions, I thought, were very impressive and the people were nice.
Alyssa was more than interested in answering any question I had. She was very prepared and very relaxed and I never once saw her on edge. I'm a retired businesswoman. I knew what I was doing and what I was looking for, but she seemed very light and very quick, and willing to answer in-depth any questions that I had.
They said they would probably check my husband in the assisted living level. The only concern I have is if my husband would be there in the standard assisted living, then he would have access in and out of the front door and that would bother me. I was also surprised that they did not do a test on him.

I visited for my sister. It was clean, neat, and looked very pleasant. I did not meet anybody except the lady who opened the door, let me in, and kind of brought me around; she was nice. The place was lovely.

Our visit was OK. It was just a little discombobulated. One staff was nice and the other one didn't want to be bothered. The facility had more of an institutional feel instead of a homey feel. The rooms were spacious, the bathroom was nice, and they had a little kitchenette. It's 40 miles from where I live, so it was a little out of my area. The surroundings were pretty though.

I was impressed. They were going to put my mother-in-law in a regular room. The room was further from the dining room, but it was a very homey feeling. The community is a little bit further away from where we all live, but it is nice. The residents seemed happy.
They have all kinds of activities planned everyday. They have a library and a reading activity where someone reads to them. They have a piano room where someone plays the piano.

I have my father here now. It’s not a very large place. He has a nice room next to the outside window. They have other rooms larger than that, but we’re satisfied with it. It’s institutional food, but my father says it’s OK. He has gained some weight, so he must be enjoying it. The staff seemed to be efficient, attentive, and conscientious. They have several activities. They give him therapy, but I don’t think they have a therapy room.

My mother has been a resident here for several months now. She is able to have her own space while enjoying all the facilities opportunities to socialize. We are thankful for staff!

My uncle moved in three weeks ago. It was very friendly, and it had pretty grounds with a lot of outside places. They have three meals a day that appear to be really good, and he likes it. He has a one-bedroom with a living room, a bath, and a kitchenette. It's very spacious. He likes wine and cheese on Friday nights, and they go out to eat every Friday. I'm really pleased with it so far.
