My sister who is a diabetic was in there. Her sugar was 4 or 500 everyday. I asked if they had a diabetic menu because they gave her all kinds of carbs. They said their diabetic diet was smaller portions. That's NOT a diabetic diet. Don't put your loved ones in here. My sister has a bedsore now

I am grateful to the wonderful, caring staff of Baysmont House at Asbury Kingsport who made the last years of my mom's life very comfortable. They were very attentive to her needs and sensitive as she ended her 98 years on this earth. Thanks to all!

The location of Asbury Place at Kingsport was better than where my father is now. However, they were full when we went. The rooms were larger, the staff was friendly, and the place was clean.

My husband was in Asbury Place for an extended nursing care. It seemed peaceful and quiet there. There was very little traffic around the facility. My husband thought the staff was tremendous and very nice. The food was pretty good. It seemed like a lot but he couldn't get filled up on it, but it was good. He liked the physical therapy that was provided for him. When he was released from his stay there, he has regained a lot of his strength. He liked this facility but he didn't want to stay there.

This facility has locations all over the Tri-cities area. I visited one of the locations in Kingsport and found it to be an above average facility. Each member of the facility seemed to be a team player and communicated well with one another. In their physical therapy department you could watch the therapists taking care of the patients and rooting for them. There were always activities for the residents and participation was encouraged but not forced. Security was also of utmost concern - there were alarms on wandering patients that would go off when they were near doors or trying to get up out of their wheelchair. This is so important for the saftey of the residents and helps prevent countless accidents.

Asbury Place is a very nice place for my grandmother to live in see wanted to live alone but still needed some help. They give her a big private room with telephone and cable which is all she wanted. She love the weekly cleaning and laundry service also.My grandmother is diabetic so she must have a special diet and they made sure she ate right she was not always happy bout not having some thing but it was what was best for her health. They do a lot of activities at the home she does not do a lot of them but now she has started to do more as she made more friends with others living around her.She loves to shop so she loves there shuttle service to shopping when she wants to go which is a big change when she lived at home she would always have to wait on someone to take her. They offer a beauty salon on site and she loves to be able to go get her hair done all the time .Overall there is not really anything bad I can say about Asbury Place they seem to really care about the people they are helping and do a good job at it.The staff is always very nice to me when I visit they seem to always make sure she has what she needs. It takes a special kind of person to do there job because not ever person in there is happy bout anything they have to do and they have always handled it well when i was around visiting her. They also have a full time chaplain on staff and they also allow local church group come in and have little services and sing for them. I hope this tells you a lot about Ashbury place and just nice it is.
