We went to The Hearth at Franklin. The rooms were the largest of the places we've been. I think my parents liked that probably the best of all we've been to. They were impressed with the staff. We ate there, the menu had more variety and stuff that my parents would like. They had two offerings for each meal, and if you didn't like that, you have eight to ten other things to choose from. I thought that was great. My sister and I got the tilapia over rice with sugar snap peas. The food had sat under the warmer long enough that the top of that fish was dry as a bone. And yet when it was brought to the table, it was lukewarm. None of the food that was served was hot. I did see one of the waitresses was asked to bring a brownie to the table next to us, and she rolled her eyes and went Huuh when he asked for a brownie and I thought " That's what you're here for, what's the problem?" So I wasn't particularly impressed with that. My mother said that there was enough salt in the potatoes and in what was on her plate that she felt like she had her salt intake for the whole week. But they had chicken fried steak, and both my mother and my father ate every bite of it. The potatoes might have been salty, but they ate them. The presentation lacked a little bit. They had full-size refrigerators, except in the studio apartments. And my mother was like, "That's great, I can get a whole case of cokes in there." There's a balcony upstairs, it has a huge outdoor terrace that's up over the entrance. They had some raised flower bed-type things where the residents can plant flowers and go out there and garden a little bit.

I knew of The Hearth at Franklin when I first moved here previously, and I knew its reputation. My mom was there on respite care in assisted living for 3 weeks. They were very careful with her, caring, had great communication, and had a great and just very caring atmosphere. My mom never complained about the food, so it must have been really good. She would have complained if she didn't like it. Everything was clean. It has easy access for my mother's wheelchair and handicapped needs. It has a very home-like decoration and it was very comfortable. It was worth every dollar.

My mom is in assisted living at The Hearth at Franklin. She has been there for three years now. They're a very clean and organized community. It's a very nice place. The staff members have been very good to work with. The accommodation is like an apartment. It's a one-bedroom apartment with a living area, a kitchen area, and her own bedroom and bathroom. They have accommodations for couples as well. They have physical therapy, they have exercise activities, and they have a van that they can use to take people shopping and that was before Covid, so they have a variety of things that the residents can participate in. They also have a church there, too. It is very expensive though.

The Hearth at Franklin is OK, but I just think they're short-staffed, and that's a huge issue there. When it comes to my mom's apartment, they don't do a great job, they never have housekeepers, and it's just one problem after another. The food is OK, it's not fantastic, but my mom is also not a great eater, so I wouldn't judge it by that. The facilities need updating, and there are lots of things that need to get done that they're just kind of letting go. My mom is considered the highest level of care that they have and they charge us for that, but my mom doesn't get that level of care. With COVID and all that stuff, I'm not allowed in the building, but with the things that she's telling me, I know that she's not getting the care that we're paying for, so that's frustrating.

I have have been associated with The Hearth since October. My father really likes living there. Most of the staff is very friendly and welcoming. I enjoy my visits there and I am there every day. I have a good relationship with the staff and management. I like that they ask me questions and want to know how I feel about certain things. The residents seem very happy at The Hearth. I feel like it is very important to be hands on when you are leaving your loved ones to the care of others. I would recommend The Hearth to anyone looking for a place for their loved one. I feel comfortable telling others about it. I cannot stress enough how important it is to live as close as possible to the place where your loved one will live.

We recently moved mom into The Hearth at Franklin. The community is very clean. The food has been great which is very important to us for mom to have good meals to eat each day. Mom has even spoke to the chef personally because he walks the dining room during some meals and speaks with residents. The rent rates are in line with the other places in the area, staff are friendly and helpful, and all of the residents are very happy or appear to be. The social environment is great and mom has quickly made friends! The activities have a great variety. Several residents are very independent and there are lots of couples in the community. The rooms are large, especially the 1 bed room deluxe like what are mom has. The Hearth offers some great amenities such as a full outdoor paved walking track, theater room, and a beautiful sensorsy room in memory care. We saw this room on our tour before we moved into the Hearth. We highly recommend the Hearth at Franklin!

The Hearth at Franklin is doing a wonderful job with my grandmother in the memory care unit. The other day nurses and nursing aids were all dancing together! It was such a joy to everyone so engaged with the residents. The food is great and the rooms are spacious in memory care.

The nurses are wonderful caring people but are overworked and understaffed with no support from administration. . The memory care unit is not maintained. The staff can be incompetent and rude. The residents are not properly dressed, and hygiene of residents is not well maintained by the staff. It's safe to assume to say that the administration does not know what goes on because they are never on the unit. They should be ashamed of how the residents are treated and how poorly trained the staff truly is. It is not necessary for the director to respond in the scripted insincere apology. If you want your loved one to be safe, clean and in an environment where they are loved and cared for DO NOT SEND THEM Here

My 92 year old mother has been a resident for 13 months. She is very happy in her apartment. The employees have been very helpful and willing to help in so many ways. I feel that she is very well cared for, and highly recommend to facility to all.

Please do not put your loved one in this facility. We moved our loved one to this facility from another facility. They made many promises and followed thru on NOTHING. We would complain but nothing change. We were promised that our loved one who can see little, hear little and is in a wheelchair, would be checked on every one to two hours. This did not happen. We would arrive and his/her depends and clothing would be saturated with urine. We ended up hiring a sitter to stay with our loved one and we are paying 6,000 + per month. Tonight when we visited there was one person on the entire unit with all the residents sick throwing up and diareaha. I am disgusted with this place. DO NOT fall for the sales pitch they give you. The nurses are wonderful caring people but are overworked and understaffed with no support from administration. I really have no idea why they stay

Don't place your loved one in this facility
Horrible experience. Had to move our love one out of the facility because there was not enough staff to provide basic care. Our love one had to fend for himself/herself and was rarely giving a shower (maybe once per week), and his/her clothes changed daily, which included his/her depends. There were many times we had to clean his room because staff failed to clean up urine on the floor, and there was not enough nurses to dispense his/her medication. High turnover with staff and nurses occurred as well. I would not recommend placing your loved one in this facility. The Hearth will over promise and does not follow through with anything they agreed to deliver as it pertains to basic human care.

My father had gone to The Hearth at Franklin for five days. It was about a year old, and they promised they were going to do this and that but totally overpromised and underdelivered. It was a locked-down facility, so we couldn't get in there unless somebody let us see him. We had to ring a bell and one of the nursing staff had to come let us in, which took them away from their job. The director of that facility got fired right after we left because our family and several other families had complained. They said they were going to check on him every hour. We had caregivers that stayed with him the first couple of nights and not one person from that facility came in to check on him even though they told us they would check on him every hour. He could get up and out of bed, and you had to watch him like a hawk. He would've fallen or something would've happened because you could not leave him alone, and they never checked on him. After five days, we took him home. The facility was beautiful and very appealing. The common areas were very nice and had nice furniture. It looked like an amazing facility. They had a little calendar of activities, like during the day, they had music, arts, and exercises. It just wasn't a good fit for us. There were a couple of other families that were very unhappy there, too, and they gave us our money back. They need to improve on the quality of care for the patients.

The Hearth at Franklin was new. There was not enough care for our relative while she was there. They promised us they could take care of her. They knew what her mobility issues were, and they did not care for her in the way that they promised they would. Their response time was very long. They apartments were very nice, and the food was OK. They had happy hours and good exercises.

The Hearth at Franklin has been a wonderful place. He can exercise, and they have group activities. He can also go to the area where the physical therapists are. There is also aworkout area within that. The dining area is really nice, and the food is good for that kind of setting. They check on a lot more than they know, and that is really comforting to know that they make sure that the residents are OK.
