My father moved into Ponderosa Lodge Senior Living 4 weeks ago. It is very beautifully decorated. You could smell the food right away as you walked in. It smelled good. His room is nice and freshly painted, but it's very small. They don't supply any furniture. You have to supply everything. I haven't had the food, but my dad says the food is really bad. I know they have ice cream socials twice a week. They have card games and other activities as well. They have live entertainment once in a while.
The Community Resources Director is a super nice lady. She's been very helpful. She lets me vent when I need to. The nursing staff is very overzealous and restrictive as far as their medications go. It's not necessarily good. They don't listen to what their residents say. They seem to kind of cut people off. They just walk into apartments whenever they feel like it, and I don't think that's right. They should be nicer and less intrusive.

We went and toured Ponderosa Lodge Senior Living. I love the friendly staff. I like the amenities that they offered. I also like the cleanliness, the upkeep, and the maintenance of the place, just everything they offered. I only got to meet a few people because it was a holiday weekend, but the staff we met was a 5-star.
