Situated on the outskirts of Black Hills National Forest, Clarkson Mountain View Health Care Facility enjoys easy access to I-90. There are a number of hospitals in the area, including Monument Health Rapid City Hospital and Black Hills Surgical Hospital. 

At Clarkson Mountain View Health Care Facility, long and short-term stays are provided. A major drawing card of the facility is its focus on rehabilitation, where independence is a strong motivator for residents to work through the program. The facility provides 24-hour nursing care, and other medical staff includes a Medical Director, Director of Nursing, therapist, and dietary aide. A dedicated Social Services Coordinator and Activity Director ensure residents have plenty to do. The facility offers private rooms and a nurturing environment. 

Residents have access to a variety of scheduled activities, such as group games and meditation, that stimulate social interactions and encourage overall well-being. Line dancing classes, floor yoga, and aqua fitness are some of the physical activities seniors can participate in. The restaurant-style dining room welcomes residents and their families to enjoy healthy chef-prepared meals and tasty baked goods and desserts. Special meals are also planned over the holidays to include more exotic dishes.
