I toured Keowee Place. It was a nice place. We just looked at one apartment with a refrigerator and a sink, but it was not as updated as the other places. The staff who toured me around was outstanding. She answered all my questions and seemed very conscientious. She mentioned they had an outdoor space, but I didn't go out to see it.

I like that the staff at Keowee Place is very friendly. They are attentive to the needs of their residents, and I like that they have activities for them. They do pedicures and manicures, have movie nights, shopping outings, lunch outings, and bingo. My mother is very picky, but for the most part, she enjoys the food very much.
They have a different range of sizes of rooms for what you want. She is in a private room and it's very nice and quiet. They furnished it with a small refrigerator so you can have cold drinks or cold snacks. The facilities are very nice and very clean.

Keowee Place did a virtual tour, but I have driven by the place and driven into it. You can go in the lobby part, but not where the residents are. They had a separate area. The admission person is very good. She's doing some paperwork for the insurance company that my mother has for long-term care. It's right next to a lake.
I only met the admission people and the business manager, and they were very good. They get back to us with what information they find out. There were people coming down to have an afternoon game time like cards, bingo and table-type games. They also have vans, and they take the people out when possible.
I didn't see the rooms. All I saw was a floor plan. The staff was very good at what they were doing. The outside was well kept up. It's a little bit older building, but it's in nice condition. It's on about a 5-acre piece of property. It's got two relatively good care facilities within reasonable distance.

My aunt was in respite care at Keowee Place for a week, and I was satisfied with them. My experience was good. They met my needs, were really friendly and helpful, and went out of their way to make sure everything was good. Its rooms are better than a motel's. Her room was really nice and in an L-shape, and her bed was off on one side in the living room and she had a closet, a bathroom, and a TV. I was pleased. What I liked most about them was they came out to us to evaluate my aunt instead of me having to take her there.

Keowee Place was seven minutes away from my sister’s house and was a great place. It was a very nice facility but incredibly expensive. Their marketing manager was pleasant to work with. The rooms were bigger, spacious, and nicely decorated, and you can bring in your own furniture. They would take them shopping. They teach them to make jewelries, and I love the location.

It was very good. My mother-in-law was there for a few months, and she was very happy there. It was a very good place to go, and she enjoyed it there. They had very good staff too. They were very caring, and the place was clean. Sometimes their food was a little bit bland, but it was just occasionally.
