Longwood Plantation had friendly administration and large rooms. The thing I was not happy with was it didn't seem like the residents were engaged in any activities. Their location is important to me, there were other places that I liked better but there were further away. There were other places where the residents were more engaged, but they were further away from me. I just saw four people watching TV there, that was it. They were in the middle of a renovation because they had things out of place, but that doesn't mean that it would always be that way. So that's not a reason to mark them down. The staff who gave the tour was good, helpful and kind. I didn't have a problem with that at all. Because they were updating, so that would make it nice, and the rooms were pretty large so that was good. I've seen other places that had more security though. The doors to most of the residents' rooms were unlocked, so I could see residents wandering into someone else's room. So I didn't feel like that was that secure. But their outside tours, you had to ring to get in.

My mother moved into assisted living at Longwood Plantation. I liked the cleanliness, the friendliness of the staff, and how they made us feel comfortable. They have a lot of features that caught my eye and it’s in a quiet location. They have quite a few activities like bible study, entertainment, and pets that come in. The pricing is a little steep, but for the features they offer, it's reasonable. The staff is very sweet and cordial.

The residents at Longwood Plantation seemed comfortable and very pleased with the facility. I personally thought the place was really good. The staff that I met were professional and caring. The place was clean and inviting so I thought it was a very good place. Their dining area looked clean and well taken care of.

Mom has decided to stay at Longwood Plantation. It’s a very nice facility. The rooms are large, but it's not a very large place and they just have maybe 30 residents in total. They have different activities like singing and they also have arts and crafts. I just think they need to have a little bit more caring staff.
