Hitchcock Place just felt more institutional. It wasn't as friendly and homey. I wasn't impressed with the staff at all. The dining room looked institutional to me also. It was a plastic tablecloth.

This was facility where we had dimentia patient for a few months -- the staff and administration were very helpful and flexible as the needs of our family member changed quickly. They helped her and us as we worked through the final days. Very caring and helpful

My relative moved into Hitchcock Place. It is the only one that accepted her. It is close to my home. The staff members are very friendly and attentive. The room is clean and tidy. The structure is fine.

My mother is now living at the Hitchcock Place. The only visit I did was through a window, so I don't know what it's like inside. My only beef right now is sometimes they're a little slow on the communication part, but otherwise it's fine. Everything's sluggish now, so it's probably not their fault, so I don't want to say anything bad about them. She's in maximum care.
I did a virtual visit, and her room seemed fine. I also walked in the facility. There were double doors, and I walked into the foyer. I could see inside, and it looked perfectly fine to me. When I did the window visit, I was peeking through the glass, and I could see through the room into the courtyard, and it seemed very pretty. Her room looked like a dorm room to me, but it's very pretty. They're trying really hard since they can't go anywhere. My mom said they're playing bingo, and I saw on the board a beauty day. It looks like they're taking good care of the people. They have limited activities because of the situation.

Hitchcock Place is nice and clean. The grounds are very nice. They have an enclosed courtyard where residents can go out but not get out. Although my aunt doesn't need that, it's good for people who have a mental deficiency. It is a very nice setup. A lot of the rooms are backed up on the courtyard so you have a view. The studios are in an L-shape and nicely sized. From what I could see, the room is decorated by the person who the room is for, so you personalize it. It comes without furniture and is carpeted and clean. There's a room for your bed, a large closet which has good storage, a small utility kitchen with a refrigerator and microwave, and a full bathroom. Everybody is extremely helpful and friendly. The staff seems very friendly and capable.

Great staff, facility clean and we are more than happy with the staff and the services they provide. I could not ask for better for my uncle.

Hitchcock Place was smaller. The rooms were set up more like apartments, but it didn't cost more than the others. I was impressed with the staff when we went there. I've eaten there, and the food is OK. If I had my choice I would eat elsewhere, but the I think the residents there seemed satisfied, and it's good, everyday food. They have chair exercises, card games, ice cream socials, and a good variety of things to get residents out of their rooms and interacting with each other.
I find the staff to be very caring, resourceful, friendly, accommodating, and responsive to the residents. I do not see a lot of interaction among residents though. But I think it's a caring environment. My mother has felt very comfortable there. She feels safe and secure. I think the thing she does miss is interaction between the residents. But the interaction with the staff is very good.
