RoseCrest Retirement Community is a non-profit ministry aimed at providing older adults a supportive and encouraging community that cares for them throughout the aging process.

As a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), RoseCrest is there for residents, clients, and patients for every step of their retirement journey. As a resident at RoseCrest, you’re not only free to maintain your current lifestyle, but you can spend more time doing what you love. With housekeeping and linen service, grounds keeping, and maintenance included, you can take advantage of the full schedule of activities happening on campus or take a trip to nearby Spartanburg for shopping or exploring.

I visited Rosecrest on Jan. 1, 2017. I checked on 3 friends upstairs. And when I came down, another lady I had met at the Am. Legion Post 28 Aux. in Duncan Pk. in Spartanburg, S. C. spoke to me. She told me she had a stroke. I expressed to her that I thought she was in good hands. We then went to the Lutheran chapel service. Thanks for being so receptive.

Rosecrest Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center had some wonderful people. It was a very confusing place, but some of the staff helped Dad settle into a nice, private room. The staff overall was nice, but they didn't communicate well to new residents to help them settle in easily.

Rosecrest is very clinical. It is a nice place. Just the amount of staff that they have on hand is overwhelming. For me, the overall feel of it was a little too clinical. It also had a kind of smell. The thing about Rosecrest is that it is all carpeting. I think that is probably where the odor is coming from. I just got the overall impression, and after that I didn't really pay any attention. I kind of felt after I walked in there and I got the initial impression that I wasn't interested. It was just not somewhere we would want her to be. It is very clinical, and if you want somewhere that is clinical, then it is great. It is kind of hard to say. They are like a rehab facility.

My mother stayed at Rose Crest for five days, and they were excellent. They took excellent care of her. They have enough staff to actually sit and talk with the patients. They are very expensive for private pay, around $7000 a month.
