The Retreat at Easley is in a nice area. It was very clean and tidy. The person who showed me around was very pleasant. The rooms looked nice and roomy. The only this is my mom will have to be with another person. Other than that, it's a nice place to be.

The Retreat at Easley was absolutely beautiful. Everybody that I met was just wonderful. I loved it. They were just nice. The people seemed very happy and everything just great to me. The rooms were good sized. It felt like I was at home. It felt open and fun. I was so impressed. They have a game area and a place to have little get-togethers and little parties and things like that.

The Retreat at Easley is very inviting. My mother-in-law has been there for two weeks now and all of the residents seem happy. It's got some amenities, like a movie theater room where they can watch movies, and a separate room for families to come and have events, like birthday parties and things like that with their loved ones. The food so far seems to be good too. We're pleased with the place. It's open, clean, and they're putting in new carpet and tile floor down in the building. They're doing the remodel. The only drawback is that the rooms are small, but that's everywhere because they don't have separate apartments anymore like those other places. Everything is a studio, not a divided room.
The staff seems knowledgeable and friendly. The management team seems great. We've got the activities calendar and it looks like they have lots of activities for the residents every day. They do wine and cheese hour, manicures once a week, and bus trips once a week, whether it's just for a picnic or somewhere else. They also have car show events, bands that come in, and all kinds of things to keep the residents engaged. The building is laid out very well and several common areas come in from all directions of the building.

To Whom It May Concern:
I recently spent six months as a resident at The Magnolia's of Easley. It was some of the happiest days of my senior years. The administration and staff there are so caring, kind, and understanding of the needs of others. The activities director, Sylvia, had daily hands-on activities to keep us entertained and active. She would often come and see residents on her days off if the need arose.
Steve, the manager, always listened to ideas and suggestions that I had. Many times, I saw him doing the tasks of employees who were absent. He made sure that the residents' needs were met. He was very visible and there for us.
The chef and kitchen staff made delicious meals and were accommodating to my appetite desires. The med techs were knowledgeable concerning my medication, as well as, friendly and compassionate. The aides assisted me whenever and however I needed with daily chores, bathing, etc. The maids kept the facility and my room neat and clean. I had visitors often and had high expectations for the cleanliness of my room. I was not disappointed.
The admission manager (wasn't sure of correct title), Sonya, (will need to substitute current name) was so helpful to my family and me when I was being admitted. She readily answered questions and assisted with the necessary paperwork. She continued to be a visiting companion to me often.
In addition, I took physical therapy while there. Paula and Vickie are the two best therapists I have ever had. I continue to use their services after coming home because I find them more effective than others I have used in Easley.
All of the employees made me feel as if they were an extension of my family while making me feel part of their family unit. I continue to call many of the residents and staff friends. I go back and have lunch and visit with them when I can. I am a retired florist and enjoy helping them with the fresh floral arrangements even after I am home now.
If you or a beloved family member is in need of assisted living, I recommend The Magnolia's of Easley.
Sincerely,
Faye H.
Great Expectations

I'm writing to express my genuine appreciation for the professional, dedicated staff at Magnolias of Easley. My Mother is a resident there and I can't tell you how happy we (her family) are with the care, activities, and socialization she receives and enjoys each day. She has been taken to the hospital twice, due to her CHF, and both times, the nurses at Magnolias have been quick to assess her condition and get an ambulance there to get her to the hospital to address her needs. Upon return from the hospital, the staff is on the spot to receive her, get her instructions from the hospital, order what is needed for her, and her room is clean and welcoming for her homecoming.
Magnolias has gone beyond our expectations of a nice place for our Mother to be safe, happy, and taken care of in all areas of her life. I can't thank Steve, Becky, Shan, Sylvia, and the nurses and assistants enough for providing such a beautiful and ideal environment for our precious mother to enjoy her life. We can sleep well at night knowing that she is safe, happy, and cared for with dignity and affection, as we all wish for her.

My Papa came to Magnolias after my Mimi passed away. He was socially withdrawn and depressed. All he wanted to do was die. We persuaded him to give it a try for at least one month and by the time his month was over, he wouldn't leave!! He didn't want to miss all of his table mates at meal times and he didn't want to miss all of the fun outings they go on. I went with them one time to Lake Lure to ride a pontoon. They are always going out to eat or shopping or other things too. I'm so happy to see that place breathe joy back into Papa's life and see him excited about tomorrow.

First of all, I would like to thank the staff of Magnolias for taking such wonderful care of the residents. My mother, Sara Barrett, has been living at Magnolias for about 18 months and the family has been extremely satisfied with the care that she receives. I love the fact that Sylvia and others are so encouraging to the residents to participate in different activities.
Again, thank you for all that you do for Mother and the other residents.

My mother and I visited this community and had lunch. Mother was somewhat hesitant to enter a community but by the time we left, she was all for it! We visited many other places but none were as nice as Magnolias. Our meal was delicious and the staff was so nice! Mother met lots of friends and she is so excited about her upcoming move and new apartment.

Our mother has been a resident at Magnolia’s of Easley since October 3, 2018 and we wanted to write you to tell you what a excellent staff you have there.
Our mom came to Magnolia’s for extended rehabilitation and is slowly getting stronger. The women at the Westin Group, Paula and Vicki, have done an exceptional job working with mom. They are helping her get stronger through encouragement, respect, and acknowledgement of her fears in a way that has helped mom progress better than any physical therapists she has had before!
The rest of the staff is wonderful. We have seen Steve and other administrative staff pitch in and help other staff members when needed to keep things running smoothly. Sylvia does a great job with programming and trips! Our mom has said the kitchen staff is great. She loves when Aaron tries new dishes and she is grateful for her morning cup of coffee being topped off with a kind word from the ladies.
Most of the aides are angels. Working with the residents takes so much patience and a really kind heart. Allthe staff working with the residents have a really demanding task and we believe they are a very special group of people.
We are very grateful to the entire staff and thankful Mom chose Magnolias!
Sincerely,
The Jean Cesaro Family

Everything was great when we moved in during the middle of 2018. Then the nurse quit around the first of 2019 and has not been successfully replaced. They had one for a short time, but it has now been 6 months without a nurse on staff. They say they are looking, but it should not take 6 months to hire a nurse unless there are other issues. There seems to be constant staffing issues now.

I was so impressed with the care and cleanliness of this community that I told my entire family and group of friends. I have had three family members to live there. The rooms are large enough for both a sitting and sleeping area. My Aunt and Uncle lived in a private room and have plenty of space. The staff is friendly and helpful and the Activities Director has been there for many years and keeps all of the patients busy and happy. The food is wonderful and they always more than one option. The floor staff is compassionate, helpful and always willing to help. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Looked so nice when family visited and was looking for correct place for our loved one. Unfortunately that's where the good ends. Management is a joke. Not enough staff and they hire anyone who does an 8 hour course. Never can find anyone. No head nurse. No answering machine when calling. Laundry was always getting lost or put with someone else's. Save your money and the headache of moving your loved ones again shortly after by not putting them in this place.

The Magnolias of Easley is a beautiful place. The staff is very friendly. The food is good. My mom is well placed there. She is in a semi-private room, but you can have a private room. They go shopping, they go out to eat, and people come in and sing and play music. They do some exercises and there's a TV room.

Terrible place to put your loved one! Never enough staff on 2nd and 3rd shift EVER! What staff there is on shift stands outside smoking for 30 minutes or longer while the patients ring for help and get none. Medicine is always messed up never given on schedule or I have heard of some patients medicines that are lost or just not given. Showers are forgotten and the laundry is horrible if it gets done at all. Managment does not care they make it look good to the outside world but inside the rooms you can not see how nasty the housekeeping really is. Toilets that don't flush or actually leak and they rig it so you will stop complaining. Needs new management badly!

Looks can be deceiving. Not enough staff to take care of patients. It can actually be dangerous for someone to be here. Medications are constantly messed up. Very sad for the price they charge & lack of care given

They treat there resident bad. Refuse to give residents showers. Also mess up medicine in the med cart. They still haven't fired one of the girls that keep on and on making med errors! Horrible place!!

The Magnolias looked fine and looked well maintained. They have a courtyard and sitting areas for the residents.

Mother is in the Magnolias of Easley. We had friends who had been there. The staff is fine; they're very helpful and pleasant. She's in a private room with a bath that has a shower chair and a hand-held shower. I've eaten there several times, and the food tastes fine. They do schedule some outside trips. They have daily activities that she participates in. They have shopping trips and scenic trips. She plays bingo a lot there, and she watches TV, it's her main activity. I like best the care of the staff. It's close to a lot of things, like restaurants and shopping. She's fine there.

The staff at Magnolias were friendly when I visited. The building was gorgeous and it was clean. It was a little expensive than the others though.
