About This Community
Our assisted living program offers residents personalized assistance, with all-inclusive amenities. The care that each resident receives is unique to his or her needs. Each resident is assessed prior to move-in and is assessed regularly throughout their stay. This ensures our residents are always receiving the proper care for their needs.
Assisted Living provides the ideal solution for seniors who need some help with the activities of daily life (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, and medication. Our plan is a focus on overall wellness and maintaining residents’ independence.
Care-related programs offered are:
- Care staff at facility 24-hours, 7-days a week
- Personal care assistance with ADLs: hygiene, grooming, dressing and bathing
- Medication assistance and administration
- Mobility assistance
- Continence maintenance
- Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy

My mom was admitted last week to Carolina Gardens at Laurens. I like the all-inclusive laundry service, and the pricing was simple and understandable. The people were very friendly. It's also close to where I work. She loves the food; she likes it. The activities are 5 plus. I know they go on outings, they do a lot of painting, not just like color book painting, it's an actual painting. They do devotional Bible study thing and those sorts of things. She is very happy there. It's very good value for the money. You can have a refrigerator if you want. They have some furnishings if you want to use theirs, but we furnished the apartment ourselves. They have a patio and a courtyard, and they have rocking chairs in the front.

My mother is in Carolina Gardens at Laurens. They give her her medicine, she has her meals, she has her bath, she's in a wheelchair, and they take care of her. The staff members have been fine. They help her get in bed and help her go to meals if she needs it. The grounds are nice. There's a patio back there with picnic tables, flowers and a swing, and it's nice. They have rocking chairs outside. The location is fine. She has a room with a bedroom and a bathroom, and it is clean and well-maintained. She plays Bingo and today she went to a birthday party for a resident.

The amenities at the Carolina Gardens were great and the staff was good. The only problem we're having with them is that our uncle had a stroke because he was a smoker. We brought him there because we needed a more supervised living facility, but we found out that his neighbor smokes, so my uncle smoked. They got 13 smoke breaks a day when he wasn't supposed to smoke. But overall, the nursing staff was great, PT is coming in now, and he was really enjoying the meals. They take the residents on outings, they do Bingo, and they have a little garden and a patio at the back that they can sit on. It's also good that they have a security method where nobody can get in or out without a security code, even the visitors. The rooms are not that big, but it's enough and they have their own bathroom.
