My dad's room had crumbs on the floor when we got there and even more when we left. He was sat in a wheelchair all day while his phone, water and nurse call button remain out of reach. They removed a bandage from his hip incision and it remained on a table for at least 2 days until some finally removed it. They did not set up home health like they said they would. I called to see if and when they planned to do this and have never received a call back. Luckily, I had to take my dad to a follow up appointment at the surgeon's office and they got home health set up. One time I walked into his room and he was very upset! Turns out he was able to get to the nurse call button but no one came to check on him and he had a bowel movement in his pants!! I took him out early because a staff member had tested positive for COVID-19. Just found out from going through his paper work, that he was actually EXPOSED to COVID-19!

Our aging parent resides at White Oak Manor and enjoys the meals there. The administrators and staff are cool toward family and patient. We have encountered resistance to whatever we attempt to find out about our parent; for the most part, the workers do not wish to be bothered with family or inquiries. Employees are not friendly and exhibit a lack of caring toward the patients and their needs. Our loved one has resided in several other facilities which we were most impressed with and were welcomed by administrators as well as staff at every visit. This is definitely not the case at White Oak! Correspondence with the corporate headquarters has resulted in no response from them whatsoever - that indicates how little they care about the patient's well-being!

White Oak Manor is clean and the food is good. It is in a medical environment, and in a medical setting. There is a hospital across the street, and if anything ever happened, she would be close to a competent medical facility. They have a number of activities for the folks that reside there. It seems to be well organized. It’s a caring community, and the work ethics are of a high standard. They do arts and crafts. They have movies, bingo, checkers, and cards. My mom’s room has a regular hospital bed; it’s comfortable. They have dressers and TV. It has a single, handicap bathroom.
