I'm at Harmony at West Ashley. It's wonderful. It's a large facility with a lot of people, and it's clean. I've got a studio, so it's a small one, but that's all I need. They have many different room sizes. The staff is very helpful and very friendly. They do a good job. They have bingo, they have a theater that has movies every day, and they have transportation to take you to the grocery store or to shopping centers at no charge. They also have transportation to doctors' appointments. They have games and a happy hour Monday through Friday. The food is OK, but it could be better. They have two libraries and a salon that's here two days a week. The outside area is very nice. There are ponds, geese, ducks, and turtles.

If I could move into Harmony at West Ashley today, I would move there. It was a very impressive place. It was huge and they had their own movie theater in the place. They had some grills on the outside that they allowed the family members to operate. Price-wise, it was probably on the high end, but I was very, very pleased with it.
The rooms were beautiful. I saw some people moving about and were in transit to and from. The people had their doors open and they had their apartments decorated the way they wanted it (even outside from the doors) and the people seemed to be very happy there.
The place was clean. They had a barbershop, a salon, non-denominational services, and a lot of things. It seemed to be a much busier place. Their staff were very professional, very friendly, and helpful. They were talking to the residents while they were touring with me and they recognized them. You could tell that it was more than just a job.

The Crossings at West Ashley is big, its huge, and its like a cruise ship. Its very nice, but it had long hallways, and I think elderly people like small settings. Its a nice place and I would recommend them to check it out. It just wasnt our cup of tea. The staff was really good, we looked at the dining area, and it was really nice.
