I went to the Anchor Bay at Greenwich. I like the location, it's close to where I want to be in the area. I was very impressed with the hospitality of the people that lived there. I met a few people, said hello, they gave me information, and they showed me a couple of rooms. They showed me a studio, but it's much too small. I looked at two, one-bedrooms, one was finished, and one was going to be redone. I thought they were very nice. I liked the room, but it's hard to picture it without furniture. They had a beautiful dining area, a beautiful social area, and I guess just about anything you need or want, you can get there. Everybody was friendly and outgoing. They offered to bring me a meal, so I could experience it. It looked like there was a good choice of menu.

Our experience with Anchor Bay at Greenwich was excellent. The staff was also excellent. The rooms that we saw were larger than we expected and were very clean. We saw their dining area which was also nice. It was like a restaurant type. There were menus and you get to select what you eat.

The women and men of the Memory milieu on the D floor of Brookdale East Greenwich RI deserve adequate commendation. Not only nurses and aides, but also cooks, cleaners and hair stylists. Our mother, Marilyn Rittenberg, has been treated as kindly, compassionately, and efficiently as is humanly possible. The individuals who have enabled her high quality of life at this stage in her journey, go way beyond their job descriptions. All residents receive equal patience, gentleness, and compassion. Heartfelt thanks and appreciation.

We’ve already put my mother at Brookdale Greenwich Bay. The staff is great. She is settling in. There’s always something going on morning, and afternoon; all the way through Saturday, and some on Sunday to keep the residents busy. She participates in all of the activities so she’s active. Whether they have movies or briefings or entertainment stuff or crafts; they have it all there. So, that was one of the things that we looked at before deciding. If there are any issues; it’s mostly her issues. The facility is excellent.

I am interested in Greenwich Bay because of the very extreme comfort level. I think what was so comforting about it is their openness and the warmth. Like for instance, the Activities Director obviously knew I was someone on the tour. As she was coming down the hall, she stopped and spoke to the woman who was showing me around. She introduced herself and told me what her goals were, and I had the feeling that it isn't a job but a passion for her. That is how I felt about it, and I liked that. The rooms were fine. It is not a new building, and you are not going to get the glitz and the big windows which would not be appreciated anyway. To say it is adequate makes it sound like there is an issue when there is none. It is a room, and you supply your own furniture. They did offer a luncheon tour, but I declined. I actually made up my mind, and I have to say the place is excellent. I would recommend it, but everybody looks for something different. I was looking for one that is not very old. So to me, it depends on what the person is looking for in a community.

I certainly liked the Greenwich Bay facility. It seemed to have a very friendly atmosphere amongst the staff and also the residents. The rooms were smaller than in a home, but they seemed adequate and people seemed to make their best effort to make them as comfortable as it can be. The food was good.

Greenwich Bay Retirement Living is okay. It's not so up-to-date as the one where my dad is now in. The staff is very nice, but it's a little farther away from where I live. By their looks, everything was kind of outdated.

We decided to choose Greenwich Bay Retirement Living for my mother-in-law because it is the most modern and most updated and it just looks cleaner than most of the other facilities we visited. She got an apartment that has enough room for a bed, a couch and a small kitchen type unit. Her kitchen also includes a refrigerator and a microwave. The apartment is about the size of a motel room but it is well-kept. They have a regular cleaning schedule and they make her bed everyday. They have a little dining room where residents can eat their meals. They also put out snacks and coffee. The staff watches for her medications making sure that she is taking them at the right time. At one time, she had fallen, she just pulled the cord and they came and helped her with that. So there is a sense of security there. They also have lots of things to do for the residents. They have people who go over the news with them and they have buses that go out on a weekly basis to local stores, some restaurants and some special activities. It is really a nice community for my mother-in-law.

When I visited Greenwich Bay Manor, they were doing some renovation. It was decent as it was. It was cozy and homey, but they were redoing the whole thing. So, I'm sure it will be lovely once it's done. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. The guy who gave me the tour was wonderful. I met a lot of people who lived there. They seemed happy there. It seemed like a great place.

My mother checked in at Greenwich Bay Manor after she visited the facility and liked it instantly. They had parties at the facility as well as plays for the residents.

Greenwich Bay Manoris a very nice facility for you to consider when looking into admitting a friend or relative for an extended amount of time. My Grandma has been living there for a little over a year now, and I visit ever so often. The staff is very polite and friendly, and the entire design of the building has a relaxing feel to it. The rooms aren't too bad either, each room has a living room/bedroom with a small kitchen, a closet and a bathroom. It is also in a great area, very quiet and has beautiful surrounding; it is definitely a place where anyone would enjoy living the rest of their life. The food is delicious especially considering how most of the times facilities get a bad rap on their food. However, with such a nice facility, it is no surprise that the place is fairly expensive, but my grandma believes it is worth ever penny. I loved the view out the window; it was very peaceful and serene. If you are considering staying at an assisted living or having a family member stay there, this is certainly one of the finer ones to be at!
