First what is good about this facility. it is clean well cared for, it even smells "normal" I don't think the food is anything to rave about, but I think a lot of that has to do with the dietary restrictions placed on most residents.
Now why I cannot recommend this facility to you. When I was there visiting my mother-in-law. The common area was filled with clearly very old people just sitting all watching one small TV. I believe there were at least 30 perhaps 50 patients on the floor and at most 4 visible staff members. My Mother-in-Law is quite ill and she told me the called for help one night (she was cold) no one ever came. There were small thefts (they called them things misplaced) in the week that she was there, and finally they did not seem to notice that she was getting sicker not better during her week of rehab. They informed us that she was not improving and she would have to leave on Friday. They provided no advice on what we should do next, and two days before she was suppose to leave my brother-in-law had to call 911 to have her returned to the hospital. I don't wish to supply to much more in the way of details but I think she might not have survived if my brother-in-law at not called for help. Of course I have no real way of knowing that, it is only how I feel. Still I would look elsewhere for services.
