My father-in-law has moved into Juniper Village at South Hills. The staff is what made us want to go with them. So far, I've been very happy. We haven't had any issues. The staff is very helpful. My father-in-law seems to like the food and it's a good variety. The facility wasn't overly over-the-top, which was good. It's a nice facility. I don't know a whole lot of the activities, but I know he's been to a few of them. $6170 per month is not a good value for anything, but it is what it is.

I went to Juniper Village at South Hills. I would give that one a poor rating. It's dirty. It's completely outdated. It looks grand from the outside, but the inside is not kept. The rooms weren't that great either; they were small. It looked very nice from the outside, but not very good on the inside. They have like a one-tier salon, too.

My mom has been living in Juniper Village at South Hills for a year now. They changed management, and the prices went up. After I talked to the manager, the price was lowered. They're very caring. She gets excellent care. The place is very clean and she's always very clean. The meals are good. So my mom's room is very nice. She has a bathroom, a sink set up, a shower. I have hospice coming in. They got her a hospital bed. Her room is always clean. Well-kept. The staff is very caring, they're a nice group of people. I have no complaints about staff. In the dementia unit, they have noodle exercises. There are pool noodles, coloring, and they have crafts.

It was wonderful. They're smaller than other facilities and the rooms seemed a little small to me, but everybody seems happy and well taken care of since there's a little more one-on-one care there. The food situation and entertainment are excellent. There's a more intimate relationship between the staff and the people because there are less people. The staff was great and it's a very nice place. They have lots of entertainment and they have a very good chef.

It was a beautiful facility. They had sweet people there. The rooms were smaller. There were stairs or elevators. The person that brought me around was really friendly. Their dining room was gorgeous. It was like a 5-star dining room.

It was beautiful. You felt more at home since it wasn’t chopped up into living spaces for different places. They have somebody who would take residents to the dining room if needed. That was really nice because we weren’t quite sure how much my cousin would be able to do or not be able to do. They had a place where my cousin could play cards with the guys, plus a pool table and stuff like that too.

It is a very nice community. It’s set up very nicely, and the staff is very nice as well. I would highly rate this place. We chose it for my mother.

It was OK. The person that took us around was more like a glorified receptionist because the person who was supposed to take us around was not available. The memory care was in a completely separate locked-down floor. It was a lot bigger than the other places I saw, which I think would be harder for my in-laws. The room that I saw was just a bedroom. Even the apartment was quite small, like a studio. It wasn't going to work, but the place looked really fine. They had activities going on while I was there, and I saw an occupational therapy going on. They had a big living room with a big TV and the people were sitting around watching.

It was a little bit smaller facility. However, I think they have a good location. I like their location. Though the facility wasn't able to take a wide range of individuals; but it seemed like a very pleasant community. It was peaceful there. There were nice people there too. They were most caring. They have activities for the residents but they also have support programs for family as well.

I toured the facility for assisted living for my mom, an Alzheimer's patient. While the tour was very informative and helped me make my decision to place Mom there, I would have liked to know at the beginning that we could also have hospice care, if she qualified. She is now on hospice, but she could have been before now. The home is an excellent environment for Mom. She is comfortable, happy and safe.
