My Mom is thriving at Anthology! After visiting a number of assisted living facilities in the North Hills area of Pittsburgh, back in the Fall of 2019, my Mom chose Anthology as the place that felt like home to her, which is remarkable considering that she was leaving her home of 54 years! My Mom moved into Anthology in November of 2019. She had been diagnosed with minor dementia a couple of years before, had lost a tremendous amount of weight and was becoming a bit of a recluse, which was so unlike her. Since living at Anthology, she has made new friends, she is back to her social self, has had some slight cognition improvement in her memory, gained her weight back and has said on more than one occasion, " I am really happy here!" The caring staff members and nurses, the beautiful facility, the chef that ensures a gourmet experience with meals throughout the day, are just a few examples of what makes this a very special place for your loved one. The activities director is amazing and on any given day, our Mom participates in so many fun activities and events. There is even an App that we downloaded where we can track what she is participating in each day. During the difficult days of COVID, Anthology ensured we had access to our Mom through Skype video calls, window visits and even indoor visits when it was safe to do so. We truly felt close and connected to our Mom based on the opportunities provided to stay in touch and the weekly communications from the Executive Director. With all of the residents vaccinated, we are thrilled to be able to visit our Mom again in her apartment. Anthology is truly a special place where your loved one can experience independent living in their apartment but yet have the support and care of the many services that Anthology offers to give you peace of mind as a family member. We are truly grateful to the staff and leadership at Anthology for all they do for our Mom!

My tour at Anthology of McCandless was nice. Everything was pleasant. The staff members were helpful. The facility was clean and well kept. Location was in the middle of everything and very convenient. They have a dining room, a fitness room, and a nice patio area in the back. The menu was decent. The dining room was a little small, but it was very nice.
