The staff at Hillview home provide excellent care. The residents are always clean and dry and well-fed. There is regular entertainment and an in-house doctor who rounds monthly. Medications are dispensed with care and residents are monitored closely to prevent falls. Families are kept well-informed of their loved ones needs. The staff is kind and caring with the residents and everyone is treated equally. The home has a beautiful deck that the residents can enjoy in the warm weather. Meals are home made and residents are encouraged to Boise their likes and dislikes. There’s always plenty of food for everyone. Hillview is and excellent assisted living facility.

I have had my cousin who I take care of at Hillview personal care home for a good five years I am very pleased with this place. I had her in other places where they stole her money and yelled at her. And then I had her in another place that she had no social interaction she stayed in her room all day watching TV and eating candy. Hillview has been a lifesaver. She is much closer to me , before Covid I could pop in at any time. The staff is great, Mary Jo is beyond great. She is alway Available if I need her for anything. If there’s an issue they call me . While I’m down there I don’t see anybody going into the kitchen helping themselves to food. I see everybody gets along well. I see Other residence helping residents that need help as a very kind gesture. They have a lot of social interaction more so before Covid. They have all kind of groups that come in. They have a hairdresser that comes in . I would recommend this place to anybody that’s looking to place a female.

I was referred to Hillview Home for my mother's after care following a stay at a rehabilitation facility. On my initial tour of the facility the personal care home appeared small and more like a home than an institution. The room my mother was to reside in did not have a bed. I was told one would be provided. Upon admission I noted the box spring provided was stained and the carpet in the bedroom had a strong smell of urine. I was told Laundry services were to be provided in the monthly fee but after a few weeks I noticed my mother's hamper was full of dirty clothes. As I was looking through her hamper, I found multiple loose medications scattered throughout the dirty clothes which weren't my mother's prescribed medications. I reported this to the staff, their nonchalant response was it would be looked in to. No follow up by administration to this potential risk to the health, safety and well being of all the residents. Hillview Home staff are careless in their medication dispensing as they are not observing if pills are taken at the time they are given to a resident. Should have looked at Pennsylvania Department of Human Services Personal Care Home Directory for their reviews after my initial tour.

Everyone in Hillview Home seems to be very nice, everything seems to be fine and my mother is doing fine there, and it seems like a nice place. Their dining room is like a family room type setup. There is TV on one end of it and there are chairs, lounge chairs and everything all the way around. It is a great big room and there is dining table kind of in the middle of it. They have different musicians and singers come in, they do some crafts, and they have a minister come in and hold his church services. They do a lot of stuff like that. I don't really see any real problems there.
