The WILLOWS of PRESBYTERIAN SENIORCARE: the care is average. The food is horrible. Nursing care is average. The BILLING DEPT is the worst! The billing statements are extremely vague; no details, often you’re left wondering how they came up with that charge, and THEY DO NOT APPRECIATE ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THEIR BILLING. They refuse to even explain or state in detail how the charge came about.
Administration in that building in particular is aweful. Mr. Zaharoff rules through politics and degradation! He demonstrates no respect for family or caregivers of the elderly living there.
The 1st floor is decorated with style for everyone to see who walks in.....that’s where they give their tours.
The 2-4th floors where long term residents live is so dirty & so outdated. I mean it has wallpaper peeling, dirty floors, stained carpets, it’s like 1970s decor. Very institutional looking.

My sister has been a resident at The Willows since March 2017 where she went for rehab services after sustaining a fall in her home and subsequent hospitalization. Upon arrival at the facility, she was not able to ambulate and she had a serious open area on her hip. The rehab services have been superb and she now walks quite well with a walker. Her hip area is completely healed due to the vigilant attention of the staff. They have also resolved an ongoing chronic pain issue with her legs which was unrelated to her fall. The staff has treated her with respect at all times while maintaining her dignity. This is an extraordinary, compassionate , kind staff. If are looking for exceptional caregivers who provide legendary care, The Willows is the place to be.

So far a very bad start to a very expensive place. The staff on first floor 3-11 and probably 11-7 were awful. Almost as if they hate their jobs! Who leaves a patient to urinate on themselves. Pure laziness and lack of concern. The staffs attitude thus far has been nothing but ignorance! Stay away from this place is all I can say!!! Disgusted.

The Willows did not accept my grandmother because she did not have enough money under her name. We were willing to pay the bill there like we had paid the bill at her previous assisted living facility, but they were not even willing to discuss it. I don't think that was fair because the family was willing to pay the bill and sign a contract. The facility itself was nice and clean. The activities seemed plentiful. I did not see very many residents socializing.

We chose Willows of Presbyterian Senior because it’s closest to home. I was happy with what I saw, and they had a room available sooner than the other facilities I’ve visited. I have been happy so far with everything that’s going on there. The staff has been very friendly, very cooperative, and very helpful. I don't have any complaints. My husband doesn't have any complaints about the food, so I think everything’s fine. They had a tree decorating party and carol singing and also watch movies. There’s someone who comes in to do art lessons. They do visits to day care centers, too.

When you consider a facility to place your loved one, consider Presbyterian Senior Care. This facility is highly recommended for the Dementia and Alzheimer's patient population. The have received the highest accreditation according to the Continuing Care Retirement Community. There are certain guidelines that need to be met to even be considered accredited on this list. This facility needs to meet and exceed certain standards and also maintain quality of services. They follow a quality improvement plan that they design themselves and are on a continuous cycle of improving their services for the patients, staff, family, and ancillary personnel. Presbyterian Senior Care is located in the affluent neighborhood of Oakmont right next to the Oakmont Country Club. Just the fact that its location is ideal and pristine will benefit the memory-impaired person. The security of the facility is unmatched. They have a unique approach in that they permanently assign staff to patients for consistency and this assists the person who is dealing with the memory problem. Take a look at this facility and you will see why it has 5 stars.
