We went to Masonic Village at Elizabethtown. That's when we were anticipating an independent living for both of my parents, and that's why were looking at the rental apartments. It has a beautiful campus and lots of different levels of care. They were doing a good job of being self-contained. They have a doctor and people right on sight so you don't actually have to leave the campus. The buldings are older. We only looked at independent living and rental apartments. We were shown a couple of apartments, I think four apartments, varying in size. We saw a one-bedroom and two-bedroom. The ceilings were low, the rooms did not have a lot of light, and they were small and cramped. My mother was very disappointed with the size of the apartment as they were too small and dark, but the lady who showed us around was very nice. We did see some comon areas. They were spacious. They have transportation from one building to another provided for patients. We saw that happening; they were picking up people in wheelchairs, and that was kind of neat. We wanted a rental and we don't want to do a buy-in. Most of the rooms that they have down there are buy-ins. They do have limited activities, but they have activities.

Masonic Village at Elizabethtown was beautiful. They had everything to offer. The food was excellent. There were various stages of disability and others were very much like me. I saw homes that were perfectly ideally suited for me. They looked very nice and very adequate. I looked at the cottages, which were similar to villas with their own yard. They had everything; you couldn't ask for anything nicer. It had a campus-like atmosphere to the entire layout.

I have friends living at Masonic Village. They have every level all the way to hospice. The family was very pleased with that. The environment was excellent, clean, effective, and responsive. I have eaten there, the food was fine, and they give you special meal on your birthday. The room was adequate. There's a train that runs through there, and any mobile resident can get to Philadelphia and New York. That's quite nice.

Masonic Village at Elizabethtown is a phenomenal, beautiful, huge place. What they have available for retired citizens is just unbelievable. They have swimming pools, wellness centers, and 1,400 acres I can walk my dog on. There aren't any minuses at this point. They feed you and clean your apartment. You can't beat that. We were running into problems with the other places because nobody wanted to take our dog and our cat.

My mother used to live at Masonic Village at Elizabethtown. It was wonderful but it is just too far away from me. They have everything there – independent, assisted and skilled. She loved that place. This place is amazing. It is like an old English country. It is huge. It is just amazing. You feel like you're royalty. She had a big room that wasn't as apartment, but it was like a double-sized room, which was very nice. She lived in a big building and they had a fancy formal dining hall. It was just very, very nice. They also had pretty good food. Aside from accommodations, they provided meals and entertainment.

The grounds and residence were beautiful and impeccably kept. There was plenty of accessibility for residents to travel to different floors by elevators. There were a lot of therapies that were offered including music therapy, aquatic therapy, reminiscent group and pet therapy to name a few. It was wonderful to see the residents interact with the birds and golden retriever that had visited the different floors. The residents faces lit up with the music or the animals that were presented to them.
