The Moorehead Place in Indiana was very pricey but it was an absolutely beautiful facility. It's a pretty new one too and I toured their assisted living in August. They were there every step of the way, they kept me informed and they called me every single week to see how my mom was doing, what our plan was, and how they could help. They went above and beyond even though I didn't put any money down and I didn't commit. They were still there, helping me every step of the way. The facility offers anything you could ask for. They have activities, they communicate with their residents, and they all seem very kind and compassionate. They have physical therapy on-site, a salon, and a little gift shop.

I've visited Moorehead Place, and it's a very attractive place. It was a well-kept building. The services and the dining area were very nice. The apartments were also very nice. The staff seemed to be very helpful. It loses marks for privacy because the gathering room is big. It's not homey because it is too open. They only have about sixty people in there. The place was clean, and it is close to everything. It is all on one floor, and it has easy access in and out.

A little more communication with the families like a monthly newsletter would be helpful. I know with the CoVid 19 things are different and difficult for all but maybe some technology where families could communicate better with each other. Each could have a time slot for zoom or other technology. I know mom could not handle it herself so it would have to be set up for them.

The Covid-19 experience has caused many problems, which complicate the relationship; however, i am satisfied with the relationship and the care my mom gets.

We have been very happy with the care and friendliness of all the staff we have encountered. Alyssa, RN has gone above and beyond in looking out for the residents and in keeping relatives updated on their condition. The fact that there have been no Covid 19 virus cases to date is an amazing accomplishment. Aesthetically the home is very pleasing and clean. The grounds are kept up well. Our uncle's only complaint has been the food. He complains it is too spicy or not something he can eat. In fairness, he has a reputation of being a picky eater and seems to complain about this wherever he is. The good news is that with a kitchenette in his room, he can heat something he likes. We try to keep him well-stocked with some of his favorite foods.
