I have been dealing with home healthcare for 3 3/4 years and found this agency VERY lacking in qualified staff, many staff were sent to me with little to no experience with a Hoyer Lift. This is a no reflection on the caregivers but the management.
One was sent without a current TB test, worked for two days and met staff RN to have results read.
I was used as a training facility for multiple new hires with none of them being used to fill open shifts and there were many open shift mostly overnight shifts.
Although company policy was not to allow overnight workers to sleep, I was always at fault when I complained of workers sleeping and not responding to my needs this caused more open shifts.
I had many excellent caregivers, I cannot fault the caregivers but management overall.
I am about 95% disabled, I require help with most daily activities. I have good interaction with my caregivers, I appreciate all they do for me.
I have issues with caregivers that failed to do they're assigned tasks, especially when it affects my safety and well-being.
Sleeping on the job is not acceptable especially when you are unable to wake the caregiver.
The agency overall is very unresponsive to the client's needs. I was accused of being abusive by caregivers I had issues with. Caregivers I had no problems with we're never questioned.
The majority of issues is poor management, inability to provide trained staffing, constant shifting of staffing and overall inability to understand client's
needs.
Caregivers for the most part, with the exception of those that slept were excellent.
Due to poor management practices I would not recommend this branch.
