My Father, who is now 94 years old, moved there 5 years ago. This was after me trying to coax him for the 5 previous years to move there. I believe that he felt as if he was being moved to a "home" and was strongly resistant. Finally, he relented at age 88. I cannot tell you how many times he has told me that moving to Frederick was the best decision he ever made. It is the happiest and most contented I have seen him since my Mother died. He has literally come back to life. I am planning to move to Frederick myself in a few years. It is a wonderful place.

Frederick was the nicest place we saw. It had little cottages, which were beautiful, and you could also move to an apartment if needed. They had a memory care area, so you can be with each other through all the stages. However, they have no pool. They have common areas where you can sit with people, they have a nice library, they have puzzles, and they have rooms where they hold classes for the residents and families. I was very impressed. The dining facilities and meal plans were the best.

Frederick Living is very nice, but it’s an older place. It has been there for quite a while. We saw one of the cottages there, and it was very beautiful. Everything there seems to be nice. They have activities, a hairdresser, a barber, and transportation to take you shopping. The food was good. I don’t have any negatives other than the main building is kind of old, but you can’t help that; however, everyone there seems friendly.

Frederick Living is well run. The staff seemed to be very well qualified. I found that most every place we went to, the room was very small and didn't have enough closet space -- not only in Frederick but in a lot of places as well. The place is very clean, and the food seemed to be good. I didn't eat there at all, but most people seem to be very happy with it. They had brought in some entertainment, and they went on trips. They have a place for people to have some exercise too.

Fredrick Living is a really, really nice assisted living facility. I knew about them through a colleague at work whose mother was in their hospice program. They have everything there except for aqua therapy. My colleague said that the people were great and it's just a joy seeing his mother being taken good care of. They had a free day so I took my father over there for a free day just to get him to see if he likes the place and the people. He loved it but he's just stubborn, he just did not want to go into any assisted living facility. I was really impressed. The staff were excellent, they were just a good, good bunch of people. They have all kinds of things for you, they took them places, they have little programs, there like a putting green for golf and they have people coming in and planning things. I'll definitely recommend Fredrick Living to others.

I am pleased with this facility in general. The staff is helpful and polite. They know who everyone is and they really seem to care. The residents there also have many areas to relax and play games and interact and they have made many friends. The facility is clean and well kept. The food is great and many choices are always offered. There are always activities to choose from such as music and opportunities to exercise including a variety of exercise classes. Day trips are even offered for those interested and able to go out and about for the day. The grounds are beautiful and we often enjoy walking to the pond with the swans. The lanscaping, especially the flowers, make a very pretty walk. Around holidays, the activities and decorations are festive. We really enjoyed the scarecrow walk through the courtyard. The scarecrows were made by residents of the facility and they all had a theme such as "The gardener" and the tractor scarecrow.
