My aunt is in Westmoreland Manor. It's good so far, but we need to reevaluate her situation because she also needs memory care. They deal with a lot of lower-level patients that deal with a lot of attention, so the staff there are spending a lot of time with other people too, and can't give full attention to everybody. They always update me of changes in orders as far as medicines, or changes in their care. They seem to be very interactive with her like in conversation. I think the food is good, but I would rate it average because they're not watching the diet they're giving certain patients. They have a lot of activities. The rooms seem nice, they've got hallways where they can move around. But like most nursing homes or assisted living facilities, they're locked down because of COVID guidelines right now. Because all the patients are very medically involved, they don't want too many people in there.

My mom was a resident at this facility. The staff treated her with dignity and respect for the entire two years she was there. Mom had multiple disabilities and was confined to a wheelchair. She was always clean and never had an oder about her which was no easy task as she could not self toilet. I never heard the staff raise their voice and no task was to much. I strongly recommend this facility.

The night and weekend staff ignore the patients often. Administration officials believe the staff over the patients and their families. Please do not allow your loved ones to endure such horrible treatment.

My mother has been in the Manor for over five years now. The nursing staff has given her a lot of pure love and for this I'm grateful. But make no mistake about the fact that this place is no picnic otherwise. Unless your loved-one is very high functioning, constant vigilance will be required to make sure that all goes well. And be clear that you're going to have to sometimes dig your heels in and fight. This is a large institution with all the problems that attend large institutions.

AS A MATTER OF FACT!!

Depending what floor a patient is on depends on the care they receive. The 2nd floor nurses that have been long-time employees are basically 'numb' to the care that the patients require. It's more like the patients are being 'dealt with' rather than cared for. The 4th floor secured unit definitely has respect and concern for each individual patient!!

What a caring environment! The staff couldn't be more compassionate - and they have been great about keeping us informed and about following up with our concerns. The facility is clean and has much to offer. We sleep better at night knowing that Mom is well cared for

As a family member of a resident, it is truly heartbreaking to see how this place has declined since the new administration (Premier) has taken over. The level of care, due to lack of staffing, has declined dramatically, especially on the weekends. There are only 3 NAs & 1 nurse per floor (there's about 45-50 residents per floor). The new administrator is only interested in making $. He shows no interest in addressing family concerns. All he is interested in making money for himself & not filling positions. So many quality employees, who were genuinely concerned about the welfare of the residents, left because the new administration. Very few were replaced, & those who were replaced were replaced by some of the most miserable people I've ever seen. Trying to get a hold of a social worker is like pulling teeth. They are so under staffed that they can't return calls in a timely fashion. There's only about 3 or 4 of them for over 400 residents! It's NOT the staff's fault; they are overwhelmed! It's a shame how the staff are over-extended. Such a shame; when my mom came here 8 years ago, this was a top notch place. Now... It's a mess. The elevators are always out of order. My father, who's 87, has to either walk up 2 flights of steep steps or walk the whole way around the building to get an elevator.

We were pleasantly surprised with Westmoreland Manor. The staff was phenomenal. They were understaffed, but the girls that were on that floor gave their all. I wouldn’t say it was great, but it was good.

Everything seems to be fine at Westmorland Manor when my dad was there. They have some staff that are compassionate, patient, and willing to do things right. The place was clean. The food was fine. We requested to get him out of the room because the other person was making a lot of noise, but they did not immediately respond until we got dad to the hospital. Dad was going nuts with the noise.

My grandmother is stay here as she recovers from a stroke. From the outside it is a very beautiful place though i do worry because it is located close to the county prison. The staff are very kind though very busy at times it seems but they always get to any questions i may have or any favors such as making sure the local football game is on for her.The facilities themselves seem clean and well maintained and the elderly i see on the way to my grandmothers room seem well. If i was to have any complaints it would only be that as i stated before they seem a little understaffed at times. As i would like to finish with a positive since i would rate this facility very good would be that even if visiting hours arent at the time they always try to fit family in when it is good for us if its after hours visiting or moving therapy around.
