Gwynedd Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center is very clean. I'm happy with the facility. It's just that they're short of help, like in the late evenings. It's the only issue, as my dad needs more attention. People are very, very accommodating though, as much as they can be. The food looks OK. It's all on one floor, so it's great. The rooms are nice. They just renovated the place not too long ago. They have nice hardwood floors and renovated bathrooms. Whether you're in a room with two beds or one, they will have their own private bathroom in there. I thought that was nice.

My mom has been a resident of Gwynedd Square Center and my dad recently moved in also. It's pretty clean and it's not smelly. The staff is very professional. It's a good place for someone who wants to place their parents in a loving environment. If you walk in, there's a nice sitting area where you wait for your loved one or you wait to be seen by administration. They have clean halls, and they're constantly mopping and cleaning up the place. It's very well lit and they're in the process of remodeling. They redid their floor and their walls, they're doing each of the rooms, and they've done the bathroom. It's a place that's in need of an upgrade and they're doing that now. My mom went in for rehab and she stayed there for skilled nursing. My dad went in for skilled nursing. They have bingo, sing-alongs, and games. They try to acclimate the residents to participate in all the programs. They keep the rooms very nice and the beds done. It makes you feel like they're taking care of your loved one. They check on them pretty often. The food is not great, but it's edible.

My grandmother is at Gwynedd Square in Lansdale. Most of the staff has been there for at least 10 to 20 years. It is an independently owned, family-run business since 1985. It is an incredible facility. There's a great attention to care. There is a bird sanctuary in the back, a fish pond, and numerous activities for the patients, like music and bingo, and a lovely dining room where everything is made from scratch. The owner is fabulous. I don't worry about it because my grandmother is getting the utmost in fabulous care by the nurses and aides who are like nothing I've ever experienced from any other facility that she's been at. It's very well known. We had been at other facilities, but my experience here has been 5-star. She is sharing a room with a roommate who she loves. She has one bed, dresser, nightstand, and very nice double closet space. It's very clean, and they do share a bathroom. They also have a lovely, very broad-spectrum dining room that they go down to for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. She is nonweightbearing right now, so they do wheel her down in her wheelchair. They have their own dietitian on staff, and their own chef. It's not facilitated and made fresh every day. Each wing, A, B, C, has its own recreational area. They do have weekly bingo and activities like church services that's nondenominational with both Christian and Jewish.

My grandmother was a resident at Gwynedd Square and received exceptional care and attention - A number of years later my mom ended up there also with a broken back and cognitive issues. She required an incredible amount of care and the staff was responsive and compassionate - even though my mom wasn't the nicest person. The first thing I noticed when bringing my mom there was the staff - My mom's nurse was my grandmother's nurse so many years before. The aide who helped care for grandmother was still there and even remembered me. It was amazing and truly made me feel confident leaving my mom there. The staff is like family and the care is unbelievable. I highly recommend this facility.

My grandmother lived at this nursing home facility called Gwynedd center square for approximately 6 years. My grandmother had a stroke that debilitated her severely. She went from still being able to talk and eat when she first entered Gwynedd center square to being unable to communicate or eat in the last years of her life. This nursing facility did an excellent job of taking care of my grandmother through the remainder of her life. At the most basic level, she was kept very clean, moved regularly throughout the day to avoid bedsores and only rarely developed urinary tract infections. She was cared for with great kindness. Feeding her was not an easy task and the aides were usually very patient with her allowing her to take her time to eaat during the years that she could. the people who work at this nursing home clearly care deeply for their patients. The facility also has beautiful outdoor areas including an pretty vine covered pergola and a pond with fish and turtle. The outdoor area is a kind of place you can take families with young kids outside to keep them occupied and spend time with their older relative. The only small thing I would point out is that their hallways could be made prettier.

Overall, the care given to the residents at Gwynedd Square Center Nursing Home is excellent. The nursing and caregiver staff provide excellent and loving care to all of their residents. Gwynedd Square Center has excellent ratings for the state of Pennsylvania. As the relative of a resident the basics we look for like moving the patients to avoid bed sores, not letting patients sit in dirty diapers and helping patients eat are well taken care of at Gwynedd Square Center. There are plenty of activites to keep the patients engaged. The two things that we saw that could be addressed is improving the quality of the food and improving the overall odor of the facility. The food is not something someone from the outside would like. As far as the odor, the facility smells clean but has the smell of a nursing home that becomes an olfactory memory for anyone that spends time there.
