The rehabilitation area of ProMedica Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation (Sinking Spring) was very outdated. The furnishings and the wear and tear of the building, you can tell it hasn't been updated in quite a while. The staff who gave me the tour was very good at explaining things. The rooms and the furniture looked outdated. They really needed a makeover.

If you have a friend or loved one that you care about, run for the hills if this place is mentioned.PT and OT have been good, but I wouldn't want my pet there when it comes to the nursing staff and administration. They should receive an award for paying lip service..they excel there!

My father in law stayed here for a total of 2 days. He was taken back to the hospital. The next day we went to collect his things and everything was boxed and waiting for us. Everything except his personal walker and cell phone charger. When we called several times no one had a clue where these things were. His walker had his name on it. They said they would call if they find it. It was in his room next to his bed. Where could it have ended up???

Right now my father is in ManorCare facility. So far, it has been very good. It is a very pleasant-looking facility, but I have to say that at one time, it was not. The rooms are quite large. There are nice windows. The staff has been very nice. They have typical arts and crafts activities; movie nights, games, activities after dinner, and bingo. My father has dementia so he has been moved in a lock unit; which is still extremely pleasant. Outside each room, they have display window for each patient so they can put memorabilia, and pictures in there. My father said the food is very good. Actually, it is too much for him to eat. The dining area in the lock facility is very small because they have a lot of staff members in there. They try to put the people at tables where they can communicate with each other, and it is still very good as far as verbally communicating. The experience so far has been excellent.
