Misericordia Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is a Catholic-run home. They were conscientious about getting my mother-in-law out of bed and in a chair and wheelchair. There was a lot of socialization and privacy when she needed it. They had activities scheduled -- like physical therapy and occupational therapy -- and a place to get your hair cut and styled on site. The care was good, and she was happy.

Misericordia was a very nice place for people with dementia or Alzheimer’s but not for somebody who has all her faculties and is just physically limited. They were very friendly, very open, and very helpful in their recommendations of places to check out for my mom because she really wouldn’t be a good fit in that type of setting. They were very straightforward and helpful. Being a dementia/Alzheimer’s-type place, it was clean, presentable, and friendly. I thought it was kind of strange that the State agency downgraded them one star or one point because their staff ratio was greater than what's recommended; that’s their only detractor.

We have already placed my mother-in-law at Misericordia. I love it! It is the best place on the planet. It is safe and secured. Nobody hurts anybody. It is wonderful. I would recommend it to anybody and everybody who loves their loved ones. Their food is wonderful. It is very good. They keep you updated on everything.
