My father was at Beaver Meadows. It's part of St. Barnabas. It was good, I didn't have any problem, and they were responsive. I felt they took good care of my dad. The room he was in was nice. It was carpeted, and he had his own bathroom. I never ate the food there. He seemed OK with it. They always had bingo and they played a lot of bingo but my dad wasn't interested in that. Some of the staff members were excellent and some of them weren't so good. Sometimes my dad's room wasn't really clean. I never ate the food, so I had no idea.

I found Beaver Meadows for my mom. We chose it because it was a mile from my house. I know a friend there, and she really loved the place. You have to prove that you have enough money to stay there for 2 years, if after 2 years you run out of money, they don't kick you out, you can continue to stay, and that was a big factor. They help you in and out of shower, they dispense your medicines, and help you get up if you need help and other stuff like that. I think the staff is pretty nice, the room is nice, and it has a beautiful bathroom, and the view of the outside woods. She has a decent size room for what she needs. It's a really clean place, bright and cheerful. The food, they have 3 meals a day, you have a choice of what you want, and the hall has always smelled delicious. They have a really good menu.

My mom has moved into Beaver Meadows. I like it. I think they treat her very well and I think they have everything under control. The staff members are very friendly. I don't think there's very many activities going on right now with COVID. They have bingo, they have a salon, and they have a therapy room.

Beaver Meadows is always clean and generally the food is above average. It's assisted living, and if you're there and your condition gets worse, in most cases, they keep you. They always have fresh flowers on the tables. They didn't have apartments, just single and double rooms. I have been pleased, and the gentleman I was a caregiver for and my friends there were all happy.

We love Beaver Meadows. The staff is very helpful, the residents are very happy, and they have a lot of activities. Their doors are locked after a certain hour, but during the day there is a security guard. Also, the staff has just been cooperative with the whole situation for my grandmother.

The cleanliness, the staff, and the atmosphere is what I like best at Beaver Meadows.
The staff was like family; everybody was very caring and nice to everybody as you walk through.
There were no smells, everybody was taking care of things, they weren’t patients in the hallways, and nobody was unattended. Everybody was working together; it was a nicely run facility.
But the only drawback is that the facility is on the pricey side.

I was very impressed with Beaver Meadows. The people were friendly and seemed to care about the residents. They had games and different activities. They also had a little walking trail and they went on trips. We saw the kitchen where they prepared the food and we saw the dining area. It was all clean.

My grandma is a resident at this facility. Originally she was completely against the idea of being put in an assistant living home but, she had no other choice. She has medicine that she needs to take at certain times and after my aunt moved down to South Carolina due to a great job opportunity we knew she would not remember to take all of the medication. Leaving my mother and uncle to make the best decision for her. They offer a lot of activities that will make the residents feel welcomed and like they do not have to stay in their rooms all day. They have a wonderful nursing staff that is there all hours of the night and day. It is also 5 minutes away from a great hospital if anyone is in need of one. There are a lot of volunteers that come and spend time with the residents to make them feel cared about since families are not able to visit as much as these residents would like. Overall it is a great place for my grandma and worth every penny that she is paying towards it!
