I have nothing but praise for all of these employees. They are always cheerful, patient and glad to help. They even get a message to my dad when he doesn't answer the phone. There are plenty of activities and my father is happy with the food.

I like The Sheridan at Bethel Park a lot, and that's why we chose it for my dad. He's been there for three days now and there wasn't anything that I didn't like about it. Their location is the best, the staff is pleasant, and it is clean. I talked to a few residents and they love it there. It was only a two-year-old facility as well.
So far he's had mixed reviews about their food. He said he had some delicious ones, and then not-so-delicious ones. They have all kinds of outings and they have a game room where they play Wii bowling. There's a poker table there too. Every holiday, they have activities going on like Easter egg hunts, and just recently, they had a Cinco de Mayo day and I think they're going to have a dog show where family members could bring their dogs in if they have. Also, they have a little putting green right in the back, and a little bar where you can sit down, play cards, and get a glass of wine or something.

The pictures of this place are beautiful and the staff was very inviting in this difficult time of social distancing. I had placed a $500 deposit for my Mom to go here and they even offered a discount approved by the Executive director since they will not have to feed her since she is on a full time feeding tube. This was very clear from the beginning, hence the discount offered by the facility.
My Mom really didn't want to leave her home but I finally was able to talk her into going to this facility after so many discussions. Then I called about bringing her in the next day or two and they pulled the rug right out from under us. They said the person above the Executive Director wasn't comfortable with the feeding tube and told her she could not stay there. I spoke to my Mom's nurse in the hospital and she said make sure they are clear it is a G tube which is very simplest to work with. My Mom could teach someone in 10 minutes as she has done with others as she does 90% of the work. They would not return my phone call on the tube and instead just texted me for the address to return her deposit.
Nothing like scrambling at the last minute after working hard for months to find her a place to stay. If they tell these stories before your loved one arrives, are you going to trust them once your loved one goes in.

When I went to The Sheridan at Bethel Park I didn't see any aides to help anybody. Their rooms were much nicer than other places I toured. Their facilities were very nice. When you walk into the lobby they have a nice receiving area, and there's an open snack bar where the residents can help themselves to coffee or snacks if they want. The place itself is really nice and I was impressed with that. However, I wasn't impressed with the isolation of the residents. Everyone was in their rooms with the doors closed, so it was like they were hidden. When I asked where all the aides and nurses were, I was told that they were probably in the residents rooms. During my entire tour there I didn't see a single staff member. Their amenities were very nice. It's more for people who can take care of themselves if they live there. the only person I met was the one who took me on the tour and a maintenance man. The value for the money is average.

My mother is at The Sheridan at Bethel Park. It's really good. We don't have any complaints whatsoever. The atmosphere is very good. The whole place including the rooms are brand new. The staff is friendly and doing a good job. The food is very good. They have bingo, arts and crafts, movies, and church.
