My dad was at Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg and it was very nice. They had different levels; that was what made it so nice. They had different houses. If you need assistance, they have caretakers. It was a big place. If your health goes down, you can move into their assisted living place. There was a hospital right there beside them. They had different sitting rooms. The rooms were pretty nice, too. The staff was really wonderful. I cannot say enough about them. They took care of my dad like he was their relative.

I looked at the Presbyterian Home, and it was nice. You couldn't find a parking place there. You had to park off on the side street. It's not real convenient. I checked out the rooms, and they were probably a little smaller than what his private room was, but they were nice and clean. The staff was friendly. I saw their dining room, and it was nice. It was very sufficient, and not quite as classy, but it was very nice and clean. They have preachers that come in on Sundays. It was very pleasant. It's right in town. You could probably walk to some of the stores from there.

My experience while visiting Presbyterian Village was a positive one. The staff was all very helpful and friendly. Even the ladies working in the dining hall knew and called my grandmother by her first name while she was staying there. I even met her physical therapist when she dropped my grandmother off at her room. She was friendly and remembered that my grandmother spoke of me often. The facility was always clean and had an inviting atmosphere. Even the other patients there seemed to be in good mood as a result of the friendly staff despite their situation of having to be in the facility. The food at Presbyterian Village was also very good. I was able to sample some myself as my family spent Mother's Day with my grandmother and ate lunch with her. They had many choices to choose from and you could also order as much as you liked. Even though they had all these choices, they also had option for people who had specific dietary needs and the staff all knew which patients were in need. Overall, my family and my grandmother had a very positive experience while she was staying at Presbyterian Village.
