I had a friend who lives in Simpson House. The place was great. I've been there for birthday dinners and different things that are going on. It's a nice place. The care is good. You can have a one-bedroom apartment or you can have a studio apartment, which was all laid out nicely. They have a large dining hall, entertainment, a church, and everything was built right in the place. The courtesy from the desk people was great when you went in the door. Food is good, too.

I went to Simpson House and I inquired about long-term residence for my mom and independent living for myself. The apartments were nice. The halls were quite small, so I'm not sure how you get your furniture in there, but it was really nice. It had a nice atmosphere. The staff was very cordial and very informative. They seem to do pretty much everything, but they have a wait list and the cost is a bit steep. Other than that, it was pretty good.

We did a tour of Simpson House. They were great. I am familiar with them because my grandmother and my great-aunt were there. They covered all of our concerns and gave us a nice tour. They reassured my parents, asked them questions, and gave me recommendations for what to start doing to prepare for a possible move into a CCRC. They showed us one of the renovated rooms that was vacant at that time and discussed all the availability. Once one of the rooms comes available, she said that they are completely cleaned and updated with the newest appliances, countertops, and things like that. They are all completely renovated, so that the next people coming in have brand-new-everything in the room. They were in the process of building a brand-new wing, another building of independent living rooms. The staff was excellent and very nice. The pastor of my parents’ church happened to be finishing up a Bible study there and was able to meet up with us for the meeting part and the tour. We were able to sit down and have lunch with a few residents as well. My parents had the opportunity to ask them any questions and meet them and get an idea of their experience.

Lovely in so many ways. The residents are kind and exude vibrancy and a zest for life. Many staffers are pleasant and thoughtful even in the midst of their own life challenges. Improvement needed in communication and response time to correspondence. Out of service elevators need to be repaired for everyone's convenience. Mail delivery and pick up practices need upgrading. Follow the mission of the founder. As the new building is being built remember this "Make new friends but keep the old. One is silver and the other's gold." Remember Bishop Simpson . Love and Respect . Maintain the many positives

The place I visited was called Simpson House. It was a very beautiful location. It was right in the park. It had a beautiful setting. There were porches where you could sit and look at the park. The dining room was lovely, spacious, and very comfortable. The food was good, and they had plenty of it. The rooms had different sizes. I looked at a studio and one bedroom. As a matter of fact, I told my son that if it's time for me to go, sign me up. They had activities on site, and they had excursions off site. They provided taxi service if you needed to go to the doctor. They also had shopping trips for those who would like to go to supermarkets. They had an on site barber and hairdresser. They had some other things that I could not remember, but I was very impressed.

My loved one is in Simpson House, and it is OK. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The apartments are spacious and homey enough. They have lots of activities, but she didn't participate because she is much of a loner.

Simpson House was referred to us, so we were able to visit the place. We didn’t like the place at all. It's very small. Their apartments are so small that you won't be able to put a queen-size bed in. I didn’t see any security so I think they need to improve on that, and they also need to be more coordinated.

We just moved our mother at Simpson House. We chose this facility because it was just near my her house. The eve of getting her in there was very smooth and the staff were very helpful. The facility looked a little bit like institutional, but it felt homey. The rooms are nice as well as the dining area. I felt like they will really keep an eye on my mom.
