I have my own house at Village of Buckingham Springs, and everything worked out well. The staff was very good to everyone in the area, and the neighborhood is very friendly and very nice. I enjoyed their pool and other activities, they play cards, and they have some trips. It's a 55+ community. There's no food because it's an independent living, so I do my own cooking. It's a very nice place to live if you're independent, but if you require more care, this place won't work. But since I could care for myself and my home, I just hire people to cut the grass and do things like that.

We moved here 4 months ago and cannot be any happier with our decision. Neighbors are friendly, grounds and pool are well kept. Love our home, this move has simplified our lives in many ways.

Land rent, constant repairs, inefficient heating make these homes costly to live in. Serious drainage problems and standing water everywhere encourage widespread mold. Homes are drafty and damp. Clubhouse is dated. Exercise space is not easily assessable. Management does not work well with residents. No customer service. Limited activities for active minds and abilities. All outside work is on you, including mowing, snow shoveling.

Village of Buckingham Springs is a 55 and Older community with Manufactured homes. Some of the newer ones are nice, but HOA fees usually run >$500 per month. Not the one time $20 fee that someone mentions. The HOA fee doesn't not include lawn cutting services, each resident is responsible for maintenance on their homes in addition to Lawn care. This community is not good for elderly unless you are really independent and can take care of your home. You also have to pay taxes and all utilities on your house. Not cheap. The HOA fee gets you a pool and a clubhouse and transportation to activities.

We love living here! The houses are beautiful and reasonably priced, the ground rent is extremely affordable. A one-time $20 HOA few. Many amenities including large clubhouse, large heated pool, snow removal, beautiful landscaping with 3 large ponds/fountains, day trips and overnight trips offered, many clubs for various interests, Buckingham Springs is a beautifully maintained property and I would highly recommend it for any active senior!

I have been in Village of Buckingham Springs for 22 years now. I have my own home here as they are all single homes. They have a big clubhouse. There is no physical or occupational therapy here. They have cruises and day trips to supermarkets or to farms, but they do not take you to doctor’s appointments.
