The Hawthorne Home was very old. It was a mansion-like facility. It was modernized a little bit. The staff seemed very knowledgeable and very friendly. The lady I dealt with was very forthcoming and very informative. We toured briefly. It was a pretty good tour. The shared rooms are pretty big. The private rooms are decent. As for their evacuation plan and COVID plan, I've never seen any facility as prepared and ready for different kind of events that could probably take place, like active shooting situation and stuff. I think that all the rooms are convenient to the restroom or shower for the most part. The dining area was pretty big and nicely laid out. It's right near the library. It was big and nice. It was pretty good.

The people at The Hawthorne Home were very friendly. The architecture and stuff were beautiful, but the single rooms reminded me of a prison cell. They just had a bed and a sink and they were very, very tiny. They do not have private bathrooms. You can't access the second floor with an elevator, you have to go up the stairs. The staff was nice. The library is beautiful.

I toured The Hawthorne Home. I went in, toured, looked around and saw what I wanted to see, and left. The thing that kind of bothered me a little bit is that I had an appointment, which was made over a month ago, and they weren't even aware of me coming. The office was locked up tight. Nobody was there. I walked into the main residence and after a few moments, I realized there was nobody there either. I heard voices and walked in through another door, and there was a woman there that said she could help me. I told her who I was and why I was there, and she didn't know anything about the tour. She wanted to show me one room up on the second floor, but I said at this point in time, my brother cannot walk, so the second floor is not going to work. She showed me one room on the first floor. I opened the door, took a peek inside, and that was about it. I asked her a couple of questions as to what was included in their charges, and she told me. The room was very, very small. They had availability on the second floor, but they don't have an elevator. My brother can't take the stairs. There were a common area, which was their dining room. There was about half a dozen people seated there. The place was an old mansion. It was in good shape. It was clean, but there were worn spots here and there.
