Amity Place is wonderful with my mother, they took very well care of her. The help there is very helpful, although there's always one or two staff members that rub you the wrong way. But I love them all. I always go there every day at different times so I could see what was going on. The staff there is excellent. It's very clean, homey-looking and very pleasant. They have activities but they don't have a lot, and I think they should have more. They had bingo and socials, and they had people come in and play some music. The food was fine. In terms of the cost and what all the other places are charging, they're about average. Every once in a while, mom would say that something didn't taste good, but the majority of the food there she likes, like chicken noodle soup and eggs in the morning, and sandwiches. It's not like living at home and having your own food that you always eat. If you gave them a suggestion, they would try to get it on the menu for people. It was very down to earth that you could talk to people, it wasn't like a big building where you never saw anybody. It felt like it was family that you were around.

Amity Place took very good care of my father. He never complained about the place and the food. The staff was fantastic. The rooms were very nice. They were just the right size and they always kept cleaning. The staff always took care of him. Even when he was bedridden, they made sure he was shaved and made sure that he was cleaned. They just did a very good job. We took him on Valentine's Day and when we got there, they were having a little Valentine's Day party in the community area. They also had a St. Patty's Day party, and a Mother's day tea, and on Fridays, they have a church service in the community area that everybody can take part in. So, something is going on almost all the time.

Amity Place was super clean and everyone was very kind. It's assisted living and I had gotten the full tour of the whole place including where they eat, where they can cook for themselves, beauty salons, craft centers, and their patio outside. I got to see a room that would be for whoever you're putting there. Everyone was so nice and the residents seemed very happy. They seemed very content and they were kept busy if they wanted to. There were a lot of things going on and that was right a couple of weeks before Christmas. They have a big room where they can sit and watch TV, do crafts, and cook and do many things. It was just out of our price range. The person who gave the tour was awesome. She answered all my questions, gave me pamphlets, and told me what was happening and what they had to offer which was very helpful. I know they do cooking classes, beauty salons, and cooking classes. They have outings too where they take them places. You could also take the residents out like I could pick my mother up there and take her to do something. They have no problems with that. You just sign them out and sign them back in. Their eating room was big, very well-lit with natural light, there were a lot of windows, and it's very clean. It was nice and clean. The individual area where guests could cook if they wanted to was kept very clean, too.

My in-laws are moving to Amity Place next week. We chose it because it's close to our house. During the tour, everything looked great. We really don't know too much yet but it looked like a good place. The rooms were good except there were no kitchen sinks in them. It's a 1-bedroom apartment and they had just a microwave, a refrigerator but no sink. The person who gave the tour was very nice and very helpful. The dining room was nice, it's large, it's well equipped and well maintained. We found the residents playing Bingo while we were there. They also had a hairdresser and they had a kitchen that you can use for yourself.

We had an in-person tour of Amity Place. It was very nice and very clean; however, my friend felt that it was too low-key for her. She is a more active person. It was set up very nice and the people were really nice. It seemed to be a well-organized and very clean place. The apartments were very nice and I like the place myself, but the room that my friend wanted was $4000 or $4300 and it just wasn't something that she was capable of having. Other than that, if she had the money, it would probably be a good place. Also it would be nice if they had a few more activities. They seemed to have some there. Some of the people are doing stuff. I thought it was very clean, the food seemed to be very good, and the people that work there seemed to be really nice. Their location was good and it was easily accessible. It's a good setup. They have places that you could go out and walk. They're pretty much off of the main road. The staff members were great and the food was good.

I called to get some over the phone information. I assume it was the receptionist with whom I spoke to, she became frustrated when I would not divulge more information stated "goodbye" and hung up on me. I would like to think this is isolated to one employee, however this is not the first time I am hearing of unpleasant staff. Now I can say for myself, stay away from there!

We ended up at Amity Place. It's very nice and clean. They're very friendly and supportive. My only complaint is they don't answer the phone very quickly. The staff is very kind, caring and attentive. The facilities are clean, cheerful, don't smell, nice, and homey. The room and bathroom are very nice.

It was very nice and the cleanest place I have seen. The individual rooms were adequate and nice. There were activities too. The staff was very good and nice. It’s difficult to move from one level to the other in a wheelchair, but they have a ramp.

It was nice. The room was bigger than what I saw in another facility and had a nice kitchenette. We did not choose this facility for Mom because they do not have a rehab program, which is what she needed. The facility was very clean and did not have a smell.

It was very good and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful to the residents. The rooms were very good, spacious, and clean. I guess they could improve on having more one-on-one nursing care.

My mom has been living in here for a year. It is affordable, clean and has no odors. She has a private room with a bathroom and bedroom with a sink. They have a common room where they can relax and watch TV. She is involved in activities like Bingo and Scrabble. She went to the theatre last Christmas. The care is excellent and they treat her very well. She is very happy there.

I chose it because it was the nicest facility I've visited for my mom. The facility is clean. It doesn't have any odors. The staff are very good and very caring. She seems not to complain about the food. My mom is very happy being there.
